No real assembly instructions but it was pretty straightforward and simple to put together. Take your time or you will bend the ends but they will bend back easily and become much more sturdy once screwed in.All of the shelves are large enough for even encyclopedias but be careful because you can easily exceed the weight limit because it will easily fit more books than the weight allows.Some parts were a little scuffed and some edges (the tops of the shelving units in the center) may require a little bending or the won't be flush.All in all, it is exactly what I wanted and worth the price I paid for it.
