We have a very large plot in the front lawn, and bought several sets of this edging. We bought 8" edging, sinking it 7" with a 1" sticking out to weed wack against. Trying to prevent Soysia grass from climbing into the newly rototiller plot. Pros- the pieces were easier to bend than I expected, (but you need two people to make the slightest curve.)These are very sturdy, have good 'spikes' on the bottom for getting them into the soil. The stakes that hold the joints together look really nice. (see the cons side of that) As recommended the rubber mallet worked great. (see cons for that, too) Cons- The stakes that came with this 'splay' out as they go into the soil, and don't hold the overlapping ends together on a curve. We aren't sure from the pictures how much the pieces should overlap. YOUR RUBBER MALLET WILL BE SHREDDED. One side of ours was unusable so we had to go to the other side. That'll be shredded, too. This would work better with two people with two rubber mallets, but who wants to destroy two rubber mallets?Some of our boxes came with no stakes. We'll have to somehow contact the company about that.

They are an honest company and were very helpful when some connectors were missing. We love the clean lines this edging makes for our gardens - our neighbor is now going to order some for her gardens.

High quality material and this was delivered sooner than expected.

I installed 180 feet of this product. After a couple days of rain, I used a spade and flat shovel to create a 6 inch deep crevice in the ground for the length of my landscape project. I laid out 7mil plastic into the area, and tucked it in to my crevice. Then I lightly pouned in the segments of the edging. So easy, and I put the edge almost at the level of the ground. Now I can cut the grass and have no trimming along this entire length. I love this stuff. Little expensive, but looks great and makes it low maintenance. I am very pleased.

Seems like they are very good quality. They are black powder coated though which is not in the description. They aren't as easy to install as thought unless you have sandy soil with sod removed already. We had to remove the sod and dig down to get rid of any stones. They wouldn't just hammer in otherwise. They do look very nice and should last a really long time. Hopefully they will help keep the grass from migrating into the mulch area.

Product seems sturdy but I've not yet installed it. What's not clear is the product description. It is described as "galvanized" but also as "heavy-duty weathering steel". "Weathering steel" is usually a generic term used to describe the "COR-TEN" steel product that produces a stable, rust-like appearance due to weathering. This is not that material. It seems to have a black painted or powder coated finish. I cannot confirm if the steel under this finish is in fact galvanized as described.

excellent quality, easy to install

Definitely lives up to it's name...easy to use- especially if you start with a trench.

My only complaint is the box was damaged and missing the stakes which join the pieces together. This seems to be common. Is it possible to have them replaced?

We have an island on a sloped asphalt driveway which gets severely washed out. I installed the 8” walls at the border to divert the flow in rainstorms. I filled a small gap between this barrier with paver sand and then asphalt cold patch. I will come back with sealer to get a good seal to the metal wall. This stuff is tough, you need to have something to use as a radius to bend it. I use a tamper after digging a trench to repack surrounding soil and a hammer with a wood panel to level each piece into the ground. This works really well, I cant understand the people complaining so much. Its great
