This pumps output / rate of flow is very strong and seems to work extremely well for the money...The things I did not like are: box was damaged at delivery and pump and float mechanism were highly scuffed, as it must have been dropped as pump had busted through package. (Thankfully this was only cosmetic and did not affect performance as I pre-tested in a water filled mop pail in my driveway, prior to install.) Shortly thereafter, 1 of the 2 screws fell out of lift handle while I was lowering into sewage basin, via a piece of metal wire, to avoid contact with existing sewage and not to stress the pvc connections of the 2 inch piping. The screw falling out was very annoying as I had to go back to my Garage and find another screw to fit, midway through this project. Also instructions were not clear prior to purchase, nor could I find any worthwhile nor detailed reviews, thus I took my chances. Thankfully the 2 inch bottom plastic threaded pvc piece ( which I purchased at a local plumbing supply) screwed in just fine at pump outlet (which again screws were loose at the outlet and needed to be tightened upon pump arrival) prior to loosening standard 1.5 inch small metal discharge piece, which I unscrewed at side of pump. Make sure you buy a 2 inch plastic coupler, to extend 24 inch pipe, and use with specialty pvc glue for wet application. You will also need atleast another 3-4 inches in pvc tube height to connect to the standard 24 inch (2inch) pvc pipe (available at most plumbing supply houses)...Unit/ Pump is a great value...total project cost with parts $155.00, about 1/10 of what plumber charges....a bit messy and time consuming to install, but 2 hours time to save almost $1400.00 well worth it. 2 year warranty is a plus...seems solid at 41 pounds and hopefully should last many years, and outlast former pump which lasted nearly 13 years...Just make sure you drill a couple of holes about 3-5 inches at 2 inch discharge pipe, above where it's connected, to avoid creating an air vacuum which significantly can shorten pump life....this is not a "fun" project you will want to soon repeat as a result of taking shortcuts...promise...And last but not least, re-tighten all metal couplings prior to plugging unit in to test, or otherwise flexible rubber coupling can blow loose and spew sewage everywhere as soon as pump is plugged in...believe me, I will not overlook that one thing ever again...word to the wise...take my advice and stay clean and dry.
