I use this chuck to hold parts for grinding. It holds well and is easy to engage / disengage. It is heavy which is perfect for while in use. I've had it for a couple months now and it has seen heavy use. It holds up well. The case is hard and is not damaged from the grinder working the edges of thin parts.

This thing is strong. Sturdy and beefy.

This is great little magnetic chuck priced at an affordable price. Like most import products a little love and care goes along way so make sure you give it a proper cleaning and debur and smooth the sharp edges, a 15 minute job at most. The locking action is very smooth and you do not need much force which is a big improvement over my older chuck. It is also light enough to be transferred so if you work with small parts this is a great option. To those who complained about the work holding strength, I wonder if they are familiar with the correct usage of this type of chuck, make sure you have good metal to metal contact, ensuring that the holding surface is smooth and the chuck will grip amazingly.

I was a little hesitant to buy this because other ones I’d seen were like 5 times the price. I’m using it on a surface grinder and it has been great. It holds really strong and has no issues being flooded in coolant while using.I’m really glad I bought it. It’s been great for flattening knife blanks. It also holds well to all the metals I’ve tried. Even S30V which is a stainless steel and isn’t that magnetic.

For Chineseeum it’s really not bad.

This magnetic chuck works well. Holds tightly. The tag fell off the front almost immediately but the tag doesn’t affect function at all.

Looks to be very good. 0.002" out of the box. Good grip. Would buy another.

Being that it's my part time passion, I dont always have $500+ dollars to throw attachments or a premium name brand mag chuck. So I decided to give this one a try & I havent been disappointed or dissatisfied at ALL!! It has plenty of holding power for light to moderate grinding and I havent had any of my part move while taking passes. I'm using it on my vintage Barber-colman grinder and its performing to my exspections.
