Simple design and there's not much in terms of instructions either. Get familiar with the forward and reverse switches. Always use the forward position for normal operation of feeding the snake into the drain and also pulling it back for rewinding.Mine didn't come with the advertised leather gloves but there were two drain clog cleaners instead ... I can use them.The boring bulb cutter and the c-cutter are a bit too thick and I was not able to insert them in the slot. I will have to do some grinding to thin them a little to fit. I however was able to get my cleaning done with the spade cutter and the arrow cutters.I have now placed cleaner it in my crawl space, next to the drain opening and will be using it again in about a year's time for the annual preventive cleaning. Hopefully, it would work just as fine then.Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

If you have access to you sewer line in lengths of no more than 75 ft, this machine is for you. My sewer line is 110 ft The clean outs are at the house foundation and 40 ft from the house which leaves 70 ft to the city's main sewer line. Of course the blockage had to be at 65 ft from the clean-out and a standard 50 ft plumber's snake wouldn't reach it so I bought and tried a 100 ft snake and that would clear the blockage but only temporally. This machine will reach approximately 75 ft. which allowed me to reach, cut out and remove the blockage. The pick-up tools and rotating cable easily reached the blockage, cut and removed the roots that were the "root" of the problem. :)The machine should pay for itself with one more use.The only issue with the machine (and it's really not an issue) is it has a slight vibration that increases as the cable nears it's end. It's not bad at all but just enough to vibrate the two rubber caps on the base of the frame off. A little glue or silicone sealant will prevent that from happening again.Very pleased with everything about this machine. Well worth the investment.

Worked perfect!!! Paid for itself with one use and not having to pay for a plumber to come clear septic line.

Works as advertised. With this price, it practically paid for itself if you were to hire a plumber to come out and clear out the pipes. On a side note, product came slightly damaged due to freight delivery, but customer service was excellent and was able to resolve our concerns efficiently and in timely manner.

Product worked great. I used it on two drains. Multiple heads to choose from and easy to change out. The rotation of the drum seemed a little wobbly and I suspect this was from the weight and unevenness of the 50 foot 3/8" snake it contained rotating around in the small barrel it was housed in. It was not as sturdy as the equivalent rentals, but it will have paid for itself in dollars in just a few more uses. The convenience of not having to go back and forth to the rental store is priceless. If I called roto-rooter it would have cost me the price of the equipment and then some with one plugged drain.

Shipping was very fast. Item works as described and get the job done. I would recommend it.
