Bought this for my parents to access the house, but I use it all the time myself. Incredibly sturdy!

This is a much sturdier hand rail than it looks in the pictures. There is a peculiar misstatement in the description, suggesting that this is aluminum. It is a very heavy steel rail, painted nicely. The expansion bolts that came with it are reasonable quality—a half inch masonry drill is all it takes to drill into a brick wall to install them. It comes with a 12/14 mm open end wrench, but I found it much easier to use a socket wrench and ratchet. This makes it much safer to step out of my house to the patio.Update February 19, 2020. I just installed a second one (gray this time) leading out to my garage. Instead of the expansion bolts that came with it, I purchased 1/2” x 3” lag screws and washers locally, because I installed it into the wood framing of the garage. It is solid—anyone who says otherwise has not installed it properly. Additionally, anyone who has installed it without washers and complains of chipped paint has not properly installed it. This makes it much safer stepping into my garage.

This is so well made! We have our 92 yr. old step dad currently living with us so it was difficult for him getting up our two steps. The front porch wasn't built with any type of rails and we didn't want to go through the big expense of designing something to accommodate this situation. We looked all over and saw this on Amazon. It is a perfect solution for us plus it doesn't obstruct any walking pattern around the porch. It was also mailed to us very quickly too. Super happy with our decision. Highly recommend.

We've lived in our house 30 years without any handrail to assist in getting up the 2 steps to the porch. We never needed it but recently noticed some friends of ours did. So we found this and it is perfect! Sturdy, pretty and a great price too.

I needed these handrails because my three steps down to the ground we’re getting harder to do so they should be perfect for the three steps and they are. I got the white ones which went perfectly with my house.
