I love the 12 inch size. Many reviews noted the 10 inch was tinny. 12 inches gives more room for resonance. It came perfectly tuned and I didn't have to make any adjustments. Perfect C scale. I would buy from this company/brand again.

I did a lot of research because I didn't want to get a piece of junk as this was a gift. Upon arrival, the recipient started playing right away. The sound is booming! Great quality, big in size and sound. Great quality!!! You will be pleased!

Purchased as a surprise gift for a friend. Fast shipping and arrived in good condition. Nice quality and color as pictured. Sound is nice and in tune. Padded carrier handle. The little kalimba is adorable (in much better quality compared to the one found at World Market years ago). Likely will order again for self entertainment.

They're boys aged 1 1/2 and 3 1/2, so anything that makes a noise is welcomed! And, being a very musical family, this is a step towards learning how tunes are constructed.

A great instrument, sound is incredible and a great looking piece of sculpture. Will be replacing the sticks with larger ones but the ones included might work for someone with smaller hands and still work great with soft rubber tips. Also included some fingertip mallets but were too small for me, as well as a tuning booklet with some easy tunes to play. Sounds so much better in person than on the YouTube videos. Mellow tones with no edginess. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try tongue drumming. It also came with a nice padded case with a neck strap as well as a handle grip. Well worth the moderate price.

So relaxing love it

I am not as musically fluent as I wish I were, but this tongue drum is nice in that I can come up with a sequence of notes, and, often, it is pleasing to the ear. The drum came with numbers applied to each of the 13 tongues, #1 = C, #2 = D, and so on. Pretty easy to play melodies... Can get some nice sequences to repeat and I, as I mentioned, am pleased. I have not had much time with other instruments of the sort made by other manufacturers, but they can cost considerably more than this version of a steel tongue drum.I keep it out on my kitchen table and if I walk by, I usually grab the mallets and play for a couple minutes. The act makes me feel better.
