Fun but novelty only
If you're looking for a long-term functional pottery wheel this isn't it. But to be fair I don't know of any others that are many that would replace the function of a normal sized one. This pottery wheel is definitely cute in design and a decent activity. I am a seasoned potter that's used to throwing things a very small proportions on a regular sized wheel. Bought this as an activity for My ceramics 1 students and for my 10 year old as well. It has a decent amount of power for what it is. It takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out when to turn the pace up or down. Was a little tricky to get the hang of centering.. I ended up centering the clay for my daughter and then handing it over. The biggest drawback is the lack of a splash pan. You get completely and totally soaked when using. I will have to figure out something myself because it sprays water up to 8 ft and consistently all over your lap.Tools that came were decent. Good value for the price.

worth the money
nice little wheel for beginners would have been a 5 star but just one complaint. the foot peddle does not have much control over the speed of wheel seems to have slow, 3/4 speed and high speed which i can deal with. build seems good for the cost. tray around wheel is not super sturdy but it does come off in 2 pieces for easy clean up

This item was a good product for what we paid for it. It came quickly. My only complaint is that there were no instructions. We (my 12 yr. old grandson and I) loved all of the tools. Actually have not had a chance to use it because of the holidays. We did figure out how to change the disc size and tired a small amount of clay. I think it will be what we want.

I love this wheel! It was a great purchase for a beginner ceramicist. There is great storage space on the table, it does have the automatic foot pedal so when you release it continues to spin, the splash guard holds up great. I will be adding bricks underneath the legs to hike it up a little which is typical no matter which wheel you use. Beware, there are no bat pins - I had to adjust throwing directly on the wheel but it was no problem. I’m glad I was able to find a good quality, affordable wheel.

Ok for beginners but underpowered for advanced use. The table is on the lightweight side which is easier to pick up but also makes it easy to jar or slide around during use.

Good pottery wheel.
I like pretty much everything about this pottery wheel except for the plastic tray around the wheel itself. It doesn't really lock together (it is two pieces that snap together via clamp). It starts to drip water down the side once it gets full. Other than that, it's fine.
