Had some air leaks and wasn't piped properly internally... About 20 minutes of fine tuning required. If you have enough mechanical skill to be powder coating, issues shouldn't be a problem. Works absolutely fine after adjustments. Would purchase again.

Excellent for DIY
Worked right after assembly, finish quality of powdered parts was excellent even with a tricky metallic powder. Only a couple minor issues, which really were somewhat expected at this price. The air filter material at the bottom for the media pot doesn't fluidize the powder great. It either is half fluidized or boiling over. The other issue is adjusting the air system. it works as is, but has limited adjustment for ratioing the air. Some time spent reorganizing the air system will probably make a great tool even better, but I think for most jobs it works fine as is. On the whole, this powder coating system is a fantastic value! No regrets at all.

Powder coat machine
Had to open up the unit and re plumb the air lines that were wrong. Thankfully there is helpful videos and pictures on the web. Works decent now. Lays down powder pretty good

it's good but theres issues
well theres one issue. the worse instruction set as in there are none. very easy to assemble you can see where parts go so that was easy. but the air hoses inside the assembly plate are wrong. had to play with machine for a few hours to get it right. also one of my air regulators was broken but was an easy swap rather than waiting for support. but yeah its defitinly worth the price and issues i have endured so far

Gun is poorly made, needs an o ring to prevent powder contamination in entire body of the gun
Works great besides the gun being very poorly. You have to completely disassemble the gun or else you get contamination in between colors

I was gonna take off some stars in the beginning, because of poor assembly instructions, they're BAD... but after the learning curve, and using the item, the machine is actually fantastic. The assembly instructions are terrible. Go on YouTube and search [WX-958] to get the machine put together & up-and-running. I've never powdercoated before. This was my first time. I am skillful construction guy though, so I figured things out pretty quick. Make sure your fluidizing hopper bottom feed air is always less than the gun's air. Hopper air @ .03 worked best for me. Rinsing air @ .5 worked good, Gun air @ around .6, and Powder was usually around .7 for me. We just bought dump truck, and the wheels were the only thing that needed some attention. I've been watching powder coating videos for 20 years, and I was always fascinated by the process. I decided to try out some powder coating as a winter project, but I didn't want to spend 5,000 dollars on a Gema, Wagner, or Nordson setup. The WX-958 performed just like a professional expensive setup, at 1/10th the price. Here's a warning though, this is an industrial-level setup, with an industrial-sized hopper. So, unless you plan on purchasing and spraying 25lbs of powder at a time ... the hopper it comes with will be way too large to get proper powder pick-up for the average small-time hobbyist user. You'll have to buy an additional, small, 2lb fluidizing hopper to get powder flow. You can find them for around 70 dollars. Under 500 bucks total, for a professional powdercoating result is amazing, and unheard of. I'm very happy with my first powder-coating experience, there will be many more to come. The powder coat I used is called SuperChromePlus from Prismatic Powders. It was about 25 dollars a pound. To powdercoat 6 huge 22.5"x8" dump truck wheels, I used about 3.5--4lbs of powder, maybe less.

This machine works pretty good. It helps so much and the final painting quality is like a professional. The only issue is that the machine's user manual is so poor. There is not an descriptive installation manual, so I had to find pictures in internet how to make the connections. Neither has a tutorial or a troubleshooting in case of problems with the powder coating application.

Great machine!

Worth the buy.
Works very well, although setup is not the easiest if you have never done such before. Googling the model number will bring you to a YouTube video that shows you. Otherwise, definitely worth buying.
