How do you maintain humidity level? The more water I add the higher the humidity goes. If I only add enough to get the humidity where I need it runs out and humidity drops to unacceptable percentage in a hour

Adding more water and humidity above 60 is fine. Too high is fine, it doesn't affect the hatching.

Do you keep a small amount of water in the bottom chamber for humidification? What are the needle bottle and spray bottle for?
Answer This Question
Humidity is maintained as long as there is water at the bottom. The needle bottle is used to add water to the incubator, and the spray bottle is used to spray water on the eggs during the last 3 days of incubation.

It Works
It works. I set the temp and kept the humidity high and 21 days later, I had 7 of 8 eggs hatching chicks. The 8th was apparently not fertalized and therefore no fault of the incubator. I just wish the candling light worked better.

Good Incubator, works well.
Works well, trial run resulted in one hatched from my existing hens. Wasn't sure if it would work, and I am expecting rare breed eggs in the next few weeks, I am sure that I will get good results.

Great incubator, would buy again
This is a great incubator, probably the best you can buy under $100. Out of 19 eggs, I got 17 hatchlings; of the two that didn't hatch, one was infertile, and one died very early. Excellent hatch rate for a first-timer! I was incubating goose eggs, so I had to turn them manually, but I tested out the turner and it works great. The water pan alone wasn't enough to create the high humidity I needed for goose eggs, so to help boost the humidity, I put a piece of moistened sponge in the incubator. I really like that you can add water to the incubator without opening the lid. I kept the Styrofoam case around the incubator to help keep the temperature steady; otherwise, the fan and heating element struggled to bring the air back up to temp after I had to open the incubator. But with the case around it, it took less than ten minutes to raise the temperature to the right point. Toward the end of incubation, when I raised the humidity to

100% Hatch rate so far
First time hatching our duck eggs and had 100% success rate on the duck setting. Even had a power outage while at work and it took off right where it left off. Automatically goes into lock down and stops turning eggs. Humidity and temp are very accurate.

The instructions for programming the incubator were pretty straightforward but didn't have any other information. I almost returned it because of the lack of information. I decided to give it a chance and ended up with 100% hatch rate for my first attempt. Now that I have used it once I understand how it works better and expect to get good results again in the future.

Great incubator
Great incubator along with the instructions. I've never done chicken eggs but all the way to the date of them hatching it was perfect. The story settings for the type of bird was great the 90 minute turn for the eggs, I didn't have to go anything but wait till day 20. If highly recommend this incubator for all types of farms whether large or backyard novice to professional levels. No complaints. This was a great purchase.

Most important in this incubator is to not remove the foam that cavers it to hit its full potencial i have hatched over 100 eggs now since dec 2023. The only thing is i wish i was able to get another 1 for the same price as this 1

Not the best, not the worst. It is economical.
It holds temperature well. Humidity not so much. It leaks from the hose and I raise humidity by putting in a wet sponge. Wrong well cover was included, but they sent me a new one. It took 3 weeks, meanwhile I improvised. I use it as a hatcher, not incubator because it holds a lot of eggs. All in all, it serves my purpose.

Absolutely great product all the features of more expensive ones just seemed difficult to make setting adjustments to but worked amazing If it wasn't for the setting adjustments being more difficult to change this thing would be 5 stars for sure This was the first incubator and first time ever attempting to make a hatch and it was a absolute success The egg candler works great and showed exactly what I needed to see if eggs were fertile or not and of 45 had 39 fertile eggs an had 37 hatch of the 39 for a first timer I'd say this thing is EGGSELENT......

Seems like a good product
I'm a big fan of vevor first and foremost I've got two of these the first one I got the plastic electronic control panel seems to separate during initial heat up and your buttons don't work I ordered a replacement and decided to keep both of them I am a little worried about early product failure and I kind of feel like I should send it back but I have enough eggs involved to cover the product cost even if it fails early so but anyway they were quick to replace the product I just decided not to send back which I'm hoping I don't regret it is not a big deal but the yellow Cap to keep the tricks from jumping in the little water juice is missing on my first one too I didn't realize it was missing until I got the second one when I go into lockdown and I remove I think I'll put a little butter dish lid with holes drilled just in case to maintain the proper heat I did need the styrofoam packing but my house doesn't have heat and it's had no trouble maintaining the proper temperature as long as I kept the styrofoam packing on there even on those 30 degree nights notably misting your eggs I'm not sure exactly where the humidity sensor is but it's a little bit of annoying with the alarm going off the candle light is a nice touch but it's really not that great but for the entry level hobbyist on a budget I think is a great product if you were is probably one of my number one go to's for all my homesteady needs
