Best value level 2 charger

I bought this charger so that I could charge faster at places with 208 or 240 V outlets. The build quality is excellent, the size/weight is excellent, the long cable is helpful, and it's super easy to use without involving the app. I separately purchased a NEMA 6-50 to NEMA 14-50 adapter and am able to use this with welder outlets at work. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and it doesn't get hot and has had no issues charging my Bolt at 24 A (the guys set me up with 208 V/30 A circuit, so I've been running it just below it's maximum output). I have not used the app that works with this, so I have nothing to say about that. The display provides line voltage, current being delivered, and cumulative kWh, which is all I need to know. For the price you can't beat this charger.

Works well. The 120 volt is slow. I recommend you plan to install 240 volt 10 gauge wire. Otherwise it takes several days to charge. Also I had to move my location. My original location by the front door was pretty far from the circuit breaker box and did not work well. When I switched to an outdoor plug a few feet from the circuit breakers it worked great.

Works for 2017 Chevy Bolt

So far so good. Works well with my 2017 Chevy Bolt. Able to use the cars schedule for off peak charging without any faults. Have not tried the app.

Dumb Charger, no app or intelligence

Returning this charger. It may be fine as a backup dumb car charger, but there is no app or connectivity as indicated in the description. You have to directly interact with the charger interface and you have a timer option and an amp option. Not as described or advertised. Returning.

Good Product, Great Price

The VEVOR Portable Charger has worked well and been extremely useful. With my EV, it is totally plug-n-play. I plug the charger into the wall socket and then into the EV. The car's charging software detects a Level 1 charger and allows me to select either 8 or 12 AMP charging. I run it at 12 AMPs. I have never had to touched a button on the VEVOR charger or download the software recommended by VEVOR because the charger works perfectly with my car as a plug-n-play device. I haven't had the charger long enough to know if it will be reliable over the long haul, but so far, so good,

New EV driver

the charging cord from GMC ($699) died after a week. The logistics to get it looked at and replaced was going to be multiple trips over 100 miles away. This one was a fraction of the price and has worked flawlessly for weeks now, in all weather conditions. Would definitely recommend.

Works great for our Nissan Leaf and Kia Niro Plug In. We haven’t tried the app yet, but it works perfectly without it. Normally our house would trip a breaker while charging the Leaf and that hasn’t happened since we purchased this charger.
