I'm a beginner lathe wannabe. I read dozens of reviews and a good of those reviews number TRASHED Vevor lathes. Lots of complaints about the need to work on the lathe to obtain maximum accuracy. YES, right out of the crate will give you an accuracy measured in tenths(!). I finally ordered Vevor and KNEW I'd have to mess with it to get the advertised maximum accuracy and make numerous adjustments to this mass produced ~200 pound hunk of Chinese metal. No problem. Good thing I experienced in tearing down and rebuilding car engines. I have many talents and skills and tools as far as machines are concerned. So I spent several days FINE TUNING this thing. Now it's working well (but I'm not fully familiar with metal lathe operations). I'm getting closer to reliable thousandths. MY POINT: The thing was shipped around the world and got knocked around during shipment. How can anybody expect a 200 pound chunk metal to be accurate to thousandths right out if the box?? YOU MUST SPEND HOURS WITH IT TO TUNE IT UP! PLUS? we have hundreds off guys on the net who are very willing to offer helpful advice if you were to come up against a problem that resists your DIY skills. Vevor. They make thousands of these machines so I trusted them to send me (us) a product which definitely has the POTENTIAL to be very accurate AFTER the new buyer spends hours tuning it.

Very good quality and good price, it is made with good materials which gives the operator the ease of working with various materials and not worrying about changing parts at all times

super quality, fast delivery, it came in a wooden crate when was the last time you saw that,a super machine, don't fool around if you need a mini precision lathe, this is the one , thanks John

I had been looking at mini lathes for some time when this one became available for a substantial discount so I decided to buy it. Honestly, I don’t know how they can produce these things at this price. It arrived on time and mostly in tact, some of the tooling was loose in the crate and suffered from it, and the chip shield was bent, nothing I couldn’t get past. The machine itself is well made and functioning as it should. I immediately made modifications to accommodate a quick change tool post which only showed the quality of the build of this machine and now I have repeatable ability for tooling setup. This machine is built for hobbyists and DIYers but the specific design adds functionality beyond that. I absolutely recommend this tool for anyone looking to get into machine work.

Initial setup doesn't show any issues. Great lathe for the price.

Il tornio di per sé lo trovo funzionale, robusto e per hobbistica è ottimo. Ho avuto dei problemi con la torre perché i piani nn scorrevano e si inceppavano , ho quindi smontato tutto il blocco e portato a rettificare i vari pezzi perché nn erano decisamente in linea. Anche la vite guida nn era dritta. Il venditore è stato sempre disponibile e ha infine deciso di restituirmi l'intero importo pagato senza effettuare il reso del tornio che provvederò a riparare a mie spese . Direi onesto. Il tornio riesce a tornare bene anche l'acciaio inox , ovviamente con utensili ben affilati. Non ci sono vibrazioni. Aggiorno la recensione al 28 novembre : Dopo un po' di utilizzo e dopo aver portato i vari piani del carrello dritti devo dire che il tornietto va alla grande, per obbistica avanzata è perfetto.
