I installed three of the trench drains and have eight more to install. I was disappointed to find that HDPE plastic is very difficult to glue in. You really need a special welding machine that melts the HDPE and filler rod with hot air. Also, none of the fittings really seemed to fit standard plastic pipe. All were too loose or too tight. I put the three sections together with the slotted covers off, and then mechanically attached 4 inch drain and waste pipe cut to fit inside the discharge end.. I then filled the small spaces left with RTV. Seems to work just fine.
I got the trench drain for my driveway. Came quick and was packaged really well. The drain seems easy to install. To put a corrugated pipe on it, I had to use a 3” PVC elbow then a pvc to corrugated adapter. I got the elbow and adapter at Home Depot. Overall this is a very well made product and will help divert water on my driveway to my lawn.
