I was able to clean 24 feet of 6 inch flue with my feet on the ground. Just kept adding the snap on sections until I had reached the top, then removed them as I came back down. Did a thorough job in a very short time.

Tried them all. This works around multiple tight bends with out binding. Dryer vent, cuts through wet lint like weed whacker in tall grass. You gonna luv it. I've cleaned out over 300 feet and and it still looks brand new.

Oh how I wish I had taken a picture of all of the creosote that came out of the chimney when my husband used this chimney cleaner! I would have shared it in this review!! It was about half a bucket full of pure fine black dust! I didn’t think that was possible. I understand how fire places may cause fires now. Functionally: the chimney cleaner did a fantastic job. It came with everything including the rods as advertised. We already had the drill so we didn’t buy one. However, if you don’t have the drill, I would recommend that you buy a set of chimney cleaner that comes with a drill. This was well worth the cost! Prior to buying this chimney cleaner, we called a few places to get estimates on the cost of cleaning our chimney. The lowest quote ran around $170.00. You’re smart so just do the math. We’ve only had and used this chimney sweeper for a short time, however, it is sturdy and seems durable. It was super easy to use and fool proof. The bristles did not lose their shape after cleaning the chimney which is great. My husband tested a small section of the chimney for effectiveness prior to using and said that the section of the chimney that he could see was not scratched when he tested the chimney cleaner prior to completing the full cleaning.

The product itself is of high quality, I think. But for my particular situation it was difficult to use. My 30’ tall, 9” diameter round chimney is entirely vertical, no angles whatsoever. As I was adding flexible rods and moving the brush upward, when I was about 2/3 of the way to the top and stopping to add another rod, the weight of the whole assembly caused it to slide back down into the firebox. I made a second attempt but the same thing happened, so I gave up. The 2/3 of the chimney was cleaned well, so I can’t take issue with the chimney sweep kit’s effectiveness. But for tall, purely vertical chimneys, it has its limitations. My plan is to try assembling a support made with PVC pipe, something that will contain the flexible rods a foot or so into the chimney. The rods would be fed through the PVC pipe. I’m thinking that if the assembled rods are kept in the 9” diameter chimney, they won’t buckle when I stop to add another rod. It could get pretty messy with the dirt coming down the chimney as it’s getting treated, but that’s maybe a simpler problem to overcome. If I didn’t enjoy challenges I’d probably just give up on trying to clean this chimney myself!

Five Stars !! Easy to use I got half a bucket of soot out of the chimney. Way better than the metal expanding thing I was using . It is an antique. I did not have to gout on the roof. That is the key thing about getting this. I am recovery from an accident so ladders and roofs are a no no. This is a tool I think I will have for the rest of my life and pass down to my grand son. My clay liners are 6" x 10" rectangle. Can I use the brush as is, or due I need to cut it down in size ?

The nylon bristle of our chimney brush is helical and flexible, so you don't need to trim the bristle short. With the driving force and centrifugal force from the drill chuck, our chimney brush can be used to high efficiently clean the chimneys(note, without soft lining) of inner diameter from 100mm~700mm (i.e. 4~28 inches).

I only have a 3.5" opening at the damper to insert the cleaning brush (damper opened). Will your brush fit in it? Bill
