IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Warning: To reduce the risk of injury, user must read instructions manual carefully. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and serious injury.

  • Follow the instructions provided in this book.
  • For indoor use only, do not use outdoors or in moist/humid conditions.
  • Do not use the product under intense sunlight, or else parts of the product may become aging easily.
  • This product should be repaired in a brand-authorized repair center. Repairing in an unauthorized repair center might cause unsafe consequences.
  • Keep the product away from heat sources or open fires.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by professional personnel from the manufacturer, its maintenance department, or a similar department to avoid danger.
  • When taking the product out of the box, pay attention to separating the complete machine and accessories to prevent the product from breaking and causing losses.
  • It is forbidden to immerse the power cord, power plug, or power base in water or other liquids to avoid danger.
  • In case of any problems during use, please pull out the power plug from the socket. Do not pull out the plug with wet hands to prevent an electric shock.

  • Never block the air openings of the product or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.
  • Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used. Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
  • Do not remove the Control Unit’s housing to avoid electrical shock. All disassembly and repairs should be performed by professional technicians.
  • Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, or has been dropped into water. Return the product to a service center for examination or repair.
  • Connect this product to a properly grounded outlet only.
  • Make sure the pump unit is suitable for the local power voltage.
  • Avoid damaging the plug or cables when moving the patient or bed.
  • Ensure that the cables are safe and tidy and not caught in the bed mechanism or resting on the floor.
  • Do not allow children to play with or operate the pump or mattress.

INTENDED USE

The auto-pressure-controlled Medical Air Mattress is designed for bed sore and wound care therapy treatment and prevention, which may occur during an extended hospital stay and nursing home/long-term care environment.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

MATTRESS COVER

Please note this is only temporary. The cover sheet protects the cells against unexpected contamination, and makes cleaning of the mattress easier.

INSTALLATION

  1. This is a replacement mattress. Place it directly on the bedframe, with the air hose connectors positioned at the footboard.
  2. Use the hooks on the back of the pump to hang the pump onto the bedboard (footboard side) or place it on a flat surface.
  3. Connect the air hose connectors from the air mattress to the pump unit. Ensure the air hoses are not kinked or tucked under the mattress.
  4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
  5. Turn the power ON.

CONTROLS AND FEATURES

Power Switch

When LED is illuminated the power is on.

Low Pressure

Low-pressure light will illuminate and alarm sounds when the pressure is below the preset level. Reset the system.

Auto-Weight Control

Pressure adjustment setup and display range (30-180kgs): Hold press to jump to quick adjustment every 10 kg change.

Sitting Mode

LED display showing “L” SEAT FUNCTION: Provides extra support when the patient is seated.

Static

Both zone inflating together, LED display showing “——”,30min auto-back to alternating Use for nursing treatment.

STATIC: Does not alternate & keeps the mattress always inflated.

Power Failure

In an accidental lost of power, the Sound alarm will start. Press the “Alarm” button to reset. Mutes the audible alarm when the LED turns off.

Lock

Locks all functions automatically after two minutes. To disable, press and hold the button for three seconds.

Troubleshooting

CLEANING, DISINFECTION, AND STORAGE WARNING!

Unplug the pump before starting the cleaning procedure.

  1. Clean the Alternating Air Pressure Mattress with mild soap.
  2. Do not immerse or soak the pump unit.
  3. After cleaning, dry the mattress without direct sunlight exposure.
  4. Check that the connection tubes are not obstructed by dust or other objects. If necessary, use a soft swab to clean the tubes. (NOTE: Never use acids, alkalis, or solvents such as acetone to clean the mattress.)

STORAGE

  1. Switch off the main power, unplug the pump from the mattress, and lay the mattress flat.
  2. Fold the mattress in two from the foot to the head.
  3. Allow time for air to escape from the mattress to reduce storage space.
  4. Close the protective cap cover on the quick connector.
