I installed this kit on a 1989 Bass Cat Sabre bass boat with a 1989 Mercury xr4 150. It was not a direct bolt application for me. I did some research and thought I was buying a direct bolt on kit. After I ordered it, I had some concerns of the application. The shipping was fast and once I had the opportunity to install it, there were several modifications I had to do to the engine components to get the cylinder mounted and to operate the cylinder lock to lock with no interference. Once mounted, this system works great and handles really well. Make sure you know for sure that you are ordering the exact kit for your application. Maybe they all require modifications. I was prepared to make the necessary modifications for my application to make it work. Overall, very pleased with the performance so far

Wow what a difference this made
This product is a game changer. My wife hade such a hard time driving our tritoon but I installed this in about an hour and wow. She can steer the boat with one finger this has been amazing. I installed in early May and have not had any problems. So far this product is awesome.

I ordered this hydraulic steering system to replace a cable steer. The removal process for my Tracker Pro Guide 175, of the cable steer was not to bad. The installation of the Vevor hydraulic steering system was pretty simple, anyone that is even slightly handy with tools can do this. The bleeding of system was easy for me, i performed this task by myself. I love the feel of the steering running down the lake I would highly recommend this product.

This is exactly as advertised. Simple installation, quality parts this is a worthwhile investmen. Tthe installation manual leaves a little to be desired but YouTube picked up the slack. It was harder to deinstall the existing system then install this system.GEAT PRODUCT

Was very skeptical, but put it on my 89 vision boat with 88 evinrude 150xp. Super easy to install, great quality, and now that I've used it for a while can couches for ease of use and durability. Great product, highly recommend.

Quality of this steering is great and installation would take about two people to make the installation efficient. After installation I can literally steer my 20 ft boat with two fingers. Just make sure there is no air in the line. Hose quality is really high quality and it includes adapters for installation. I would highly recommend over a mechanical steering

I installed the 150HP variant on my old 19 foot Pro Line that I repowered from an old 2-stroke to 4-stroke. This steering system was very straightforward to install, especially with the help of YouTube videos; I did it on my own. The only part I had someone help with was filling and bleeding the fluid. Honestly, I had a harder time getting the old cable steering system out of the boat because of the corrosion. I've taken the boat out twice so far and it's working as expected. No leaks and steering feels tight and direct.
