Rope puller works great, at half the price of tha Maasdam puller. Only used twice, once to pull a leaning tree and once to lift a deer, but works flawlessly. Rpoe did not slip, and tension release is easy.

Use this to stand a leaning 36" oak back up to fall in opposite direction of lean, use ur 10%-15% of hold hinge. We had these back in the day over hundreds of monster tress in the Luray caverns power tap, and as far as the slopes of deep creek maryland. Also have used with snatchbloxk to pull equipment stuck in mud, bucket and mancab tree trucks. Like how handle has 90° edges old style was flat handle which would bend over during ratcheting, this should help from that happening. Recommend to all who cut trees.. ax2+++

Totally satified with my purchase, the Rope Puller has exceeded my expectations. I had used it to pull three minor back leaning trees. What is great with 100 feet of rope and your rope puller 4 to 5 feet away from your anchor point you are away from the danger zone of a falling tree. I had a tree that could have hit my house , i secured the tree and anchored it off to a tree at a 45 degree to my house , when the tree started to fall it swung a radius away from the house ,just as i had planned . I did 5 trees so far in the woods and wondered why i had not owed it sooner. Quality made and worked flawlessly. no issues

Can a single person use this to pull a truck out of a snow bank that is pretty much on flat ground ?

I wouldn’t recommend it, these are only rated at 11,000 lbs. and that’s when the line is doubled and not on a single line pull, which means you only have about 5.5’ of line and the puller, which means what ever you’ve attached the puller to, has to be not more than 7-8’ away from your stuck truck. Also adding multiple connections to extend the reach of the puller is not recommended. Also you need to determine the force required to pull the trucks weight (including items on the back) and friction/force to remove it from the snow bank, this could far exceed the power of the puller.
