I used this post hole digger to dig 12 - 4x4 post holes for a garden fence and was able to complete 12 - 2' holes in about 1 hour! This would have taken me several days of labor by hand. Well worth the investment! It has plenty of power for our clay-ridden soil here in eastern PA. It is hard on your wrists if you are using it for a long time in one use, but not too terrible. There are things that I would change, but for the price it was a good investment and I am happy I purchased it.

This thing starts so easily. I couldn't believe it. If you sharpen the auger at bottom and keep the sod off of it where it builds up, it does great. A reverse feature would be nice.

This unit worked perfectly, I liked it better than the high end 4 stroke that was rented previously. I dug 14 holes in no time at all.

Excellent product works great with not a lot of effort, started right up on the first pull and dug the holes perfectly.

The machine itself is of good quality and has the necessary power to make threads on galvanized pipes perfectly. The only complaint I have is about the dies; these dies are of poor quality. I was only able to make the thread on one pipe, and the edge was lost. I had to buy some dies from another manual machine, and those dies have worked well.

Finally got a chance to use this a couple of weeks ago. Works as advertised. Chewed through clay soil like butter. It struggled with the hard pack, but honestly, nothing I've tried works well in the hard pack we have (think concrete's cousin). I did have some issues with the on/off switch that I'll have to resolve but to be fair I didn't read the instructions well enough and put the throttle/switch on wrong the first time and it could be that to caused the issue. I just choked it to stop the engine the one day I used it and I'm sure I can correct the issue when I have time. For the money, this can't be beat.

It does what I bought it for and it seems very well made. The price is the best part as it is cheap but works the way it should!

I just finished using this to drill 24 post holes for a fence I'm building. Drills an 18" hole in less than a minute. Very easy to start and operate. It will bust through small roots and bring up small rocks, smaller than a fist, just need to go a little slower and feather the throttle a little. No reverse so you need to lift it out of hole to clear the auger. I will be using to plant some fruit trees in the near future. This is definitely a best buy!
