We bought this for making holes for a new fence. It works pretty well, but stones of any size will make for a hard time. We found the small auger works much better than the larger one due to power, but it's agreed that more power might get someone hurt. Biggest reason for a 4 star vs 5, is that the throttle cable binds occasionally causing it to continue trying to keep going even after letting go of the handle. A little wd40 at the carburetor, where the cable works the throttle helped improve that downfall. Overall is a good value, and probably better suited for ice or Sandy soil without stones. It starts and runs well, uses little fuel.

This thing is small enough for easy use and portability yet mighty enough to handle the job. Used it so far to dig the hole fir Mailbox it took just barely a couple mins... Will be using to get our fence going. Very impressed Would recommend

Haven’t had a chance to fire it up yet, been busy with health issues so I will get to it ASAP. Send very well built but tests will prove it, or not.

I was skeptical when order this new auger with the price so low. It was going to cost me $100 per day to rent this type of auger. I was very pleased to see the quality and ease of assembly. The first post hole I used it on went very well and I could hold the auger by myself.

Fast shipment

When you run into tree branches and rock it's difficult to handle. Wish there was a start switch. Over all it was worth the money and got the job done.
