Caster work great. It would be a pain to have to raise and lower them daily but thats not what i needed them for. They are really sturdy and good quality. They make a ratcheting version i would probably buy next time.
My work bench is dead weight is closer to 300 so not much of a capacity challenge. I bought these because I need to go over some uneven bits and I have not had good luck with the mobile tool bases where you set on a lever to lower a wheel. This has better clearance with the feet up and since I don't move it alot, it is OK with me to have to do each leg separately.
This will be my assembly/out-feed table with drawers. I plan to build it around my table saw...so weight was a major factor along with mobility. Glad I got them.
The kitchen island was on 4" casters, would wobble when used, and was unlevel. These feet fixed the wobble and levelling issues, and while not as smooth as the casters, still allow me to move the island when I need to.
Great casters. Love the leveling feature. Feel solid and well made althought I can't vouch for the 1650 Lbs rating. Got it under a 750 Lbs machine and a 130Lbs stand. Have to get quality screws. Construction screws at least 1.5" long like GRK washer head or lag bolts like Spax as big as the size that fit into the screw holes. These casters is for some serious weight so don't just use like drywall screws or what you have laying around!
