Used a 20kg Bruce as primary anchor for 24 years
Two primary factors in choosing any anchor: A) Its made from F O R G E D steel. Not mild steel / welded together. If you see welds on an anchor, it's probably going to bend. The other advantage (B) Its one single piece. I've been on the bottom in SCUBA in clear water and watch these anchors set themselves. They do work - given the right anchor rhode for the conditions. If you don't know what I mean, better research ANCHORING. Holding a vessel in one spot depends on the anchoring system, not just the anchor.Keep in mind, before the patent ran out BRUCE anchors were much more expensive. in 1995 I paid $500 fora 20 kg. Great Price, garish appearance, and it works for me.
It's a Bruce Anchor clone, enough said.
