The problem with the ram is finding fittings and a hydraulic pump to make the jack operate. I had to rob the hydraulic pump from a hydraulic press I own. I had written the Vevor company asking for help on the fittings to no avail. The internal threads into the ram are very shallow and I was not sure of getting a good seal. The ram has worked great lifting the outer perimeter of a house while replacing the sill. Using this ram and the Toe Jack purchased from Vevor, I did not have to crawl under the house. I don't know how much stress I am putting on the ram making each lift but thought by purchasing the 30 ton unit, it would not be overloaded. I really like the 2 inch lift. Most rams like this only have a stroke of about 1/2 inch. I have no regret on my purchase it works great.
