Love it!!! Best tool I've purchased in a long time.
Set up - I just purchased a house that has 312 linear feet of raised beds that have a mix of clay, blackberry vines/roots, tree roots, rocks, and other items that were covered by landscape fabric and 6 inches of mulch for . . . a long time. Very compacted, no life in it. As an avid gardener I was dreading the work to get the soil ready for planting. I'm 5'2", late 50s, female, not overly athletic but active, so not real strong and can't spend a lot of time with a shovel before my back and knees are done. This broadfork was amazing. It felt heavy but once it was on the soil I didn't have to lift it again, just stand on it, rock it, then pull it back a few inches and repeat. It took several days, some days I was able to do 10 ft, some days 50 ft, but it's done. It went through tree roots and blackberry roots easily, pulled up rocks and weeds that were popping up with just a little adjustment to go behind the rocks. Very little effort. The clay was a little slower but not a problem. Now I need to try it in a grassy area to set my hoophouse. This is well worth the money, just remember to switch legs when pushing it into the ground. The first day I was sore in my right hip because I only used my right foot. After that I switched back and forth and had no issues. Happy Growing!

Pretty nice tool
Got this to try broad forking in my garden rather than doing continuous tilling. It is not too heavy for me to handle, does a pretty good job in the garden and very easy to assemble. I find it a good value based on prices for similar tools and plan to enjoy using it for years to come.

Works!
I'm a few hours in on using this broadfork and, so far, it works like expected. Hasn't shown any signs of breaking or cracking under stress. Looking forward to getting more work done with it in my garden this year. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

I love this tool
I bought this for my son last year and he wasn't totally pleased with it so I gave it a 3 star review. This year I got out the broad fork and started breaking up some soil in our new garden. I am 67 years old. I have a hard time walking, without a cane or walking stick. I didn't think I'd be able to use this tool. Boy was I wrong. I used one foot to start the forks into the ground then stood on it and wiggled it around a bit. Not a problem. I leaned back on the handles and pushed down and low and behold the ground opened up. I was thrilled. I am slow but in about an hour I had an area to plant pumpkin. Tomorrow, sweet potatoes. I love this thing. See if my son ever gets to use it again.

Tougher than Texas dirt
I love this thing!! I bought it to break up the gumbo dirt found here in South Texas that is as hard as wood pecker lips. This tool ripped it. Yeah, it took some elbow grease and a fair amount of sweat, but I used it to break up a 30ft by 40ft area so I could grind it even further with the Earthquake tiller I also purchased from Amazon. (This is a two-fer because the Earthquake tiller and this fork are a dynamic duo) I am extraordinarily pleased with this tool. If you have new ground you want to work up for a garden, do yourself a favor and start with this garden fork.

Don’t tell the kids it’s not a toy Lol Love it love it love it
When around to several feed stores could not find a broad fork. Online the cheapest one I could find was $280. I was so happy to find the broad fork by bully tools blown away by how inexpensive it was. When I got it I was wondering with the quality would be.

Great tool to have
Love it for breaking up tough soils. It's very easy to use, better than trying to swing a mattox or pickaxe, but you'll still get quite the workout! Only reason not 5 stars for sturdiness is because the bolts attaching the handles will loosen with heavy use. Not a huge problem , but just kind of annoying.

Now that
When my Bully Tools arrived they had been backed carelessly which scraped the paint off the spading fork and damaged the broad fork. There was a bolt rolling around loose in the box and the plastic was broken off the handle. I contacted Bully tools and they sent a replacement super fast - I was amazed at the great customer service. Thank you so much!!!
