Quiet pump that needs a mounting plate.
This is an ideal recirculating pump to keep the hot water ready at the farthest taps. Toward this end I had planned to set it on a pad on the floor or mount it under the sink. Unfortunately it comes without any mounting method. If you plan to connect it to metal piping this is not a problem, since the pump is light enough to suspend from the pipes. If, like me, you plan to use plastic pipe, this is a problem. I had to build a galvanized pipe section to suspend the pump under my sink. Hopefully this pump will last a long time!

Installed by Soldering
After reading many of the reviews saying that the pipe ends were British Standard.Pipe in lieu of NPT, I decided to use the fittings the pump came with and solder 1/2\" type L copper pipe into the fitting, it was a loose fit but not extreme. I had to tin the pipe first because of the loose fit. The flux would not pull solder into the joint by itself. After tinning the pipe and adding flux, was able to pull in solder. You see in the photo the installed pump. I have not started the pump yet. Need to complete the install at the sink. Just wanted everyone to know that if your somewhat of a DYI you have another option of install by soldering. I already had the extra pipe, tools and supplies to do the soldering. Just needed to purchase two copper bushings and a coupling for about $12 at the local big box home improvement store. Next weekend will be the bypass install and hopefully pump controls. I'll keep updating this with the finished.

Only time will tell if this holds up with the passage of years, but they work now, and for a small fraction of the prices I paid for equivalent Grundfoss pumps.

This product is excellent a tremendous bang for the buck, I would recommend it to anybody. I would have four if I had a bigger sistem…,,,

Works very well and the price is great. It does require priming and won't pump until it's fully wet inside. I bought this to use for flushing a tankless water heater with a pure vinegar solution. As mentioned it needed to be fully primed, but once it was up and running it worked very well.

These pumps are really good! Super quiet! I bought three of them for my house radiant floor heat. Needed the inlet and outlet switched, I removed the 4 allen bolts securing the motor to the pump housing carefully rotated the motor 1/2 turn, re installed and torqued the bolts. Runs fine and no leaks!

Good pump but useless connections
Pump seems to work as well as the ones costing much more, time will tell. BUT... the thing for some reason has NPS straight threads as do the adapter fittings. US uses NPT tapered threads. Amazon has NPS to NPT adapters so it just delayed the project a couple of days. If you are going to buy this, order some adapters ahead of time and save yourself some grief.

Using for a pool heater, works great. Runs very cool and quiet. Purchased a second one to have on hand .

Watch out for the treading!
Thankfully the ones I received had brass adapters for pipe thread as the pump itself isn't a standard US pipe threading. Also needed to add a cutoff valve to prevent backflow, and getting all the threading matched up took a few trips to the local hardware store. But once installed under the sink in the furthest bathroom and put on a timer, works great. Documentation is crap.
