I’ve. Never owned or worked with a lathe before, never even read directions on how to use it yet my first project was this simple threaded pipe I made out of a piece of aluminum 1” stock pipe.I think this is going to be useful for a number of things. I actually got it to machine my Rzr valves down but I got in a hurry and used my belt sander because the machine was still in the mail. I took an old valve to practice cutting it and the lathe did an outstanding job. Don’t forget to get some cutting oil and some cutting dies, also pick up some drill bits, a drill chuck for the tail stock and a pipe cutting bit, also a good tap and die set. On the lighter side….whoever was in charge of quality control making the speed control sticker must have been on vacation! By the way. The first review of the guy that had the video that said it was a piece of junk because it wouldn’t turn on made me laugh! The clear plastic guard was up in the video and it will never start in that position! Lmao!!! Cover the threaded bar the best you can as the metal shavings are susceptible to getting through the gaps and shorting out the motherboard!!
