They work very well for the plate I lifting. But you do need to know what your doing with any lifting device.

I purchased 2 of these clamps so I could lift plates with out them swinging or swiveling under my tractor bucket. The are industrial grade products that grip well on new and old, rusty steel. They are an excellent product I would purchase again.
