Having a 4-jaw chuck is critical for the lathe work I do, which uses mostly square or rectangular stock. Completely happy with this chuck. My only compliant is that the bolts included are too long to install in my Vevor mini-lathe. If I cut them down short enough to install, they are too short to hold the chuck. Not a big deal to use the 3 original studs, but the chuck has a four-hole pattern so I will have to make a fourth stud.

Chuck works great on my Vevor 7x14 mini lathe. Only issue I had was that I couldn't use the mounting bolts that came with the chuck. There is not enough room behind the mounting plate to insert the bolts. The original three jaw chuck has studs installed into it to allow you to mount it on the lathe. Considering most people probably buy this chuck to use on the Vevor mini lathes it would be better to include studs and nuts instead of the bolts - or include both. I found some longer bolts and just cut them off to make studs to use in this chuck.

The Chuck it self is really good and so far true, the only reason gets minus one Star is because has a big stain, I tried to get it cleaned but it doesn't go away I don't know if it because of the oil or is actually rusty. But it doesn't go away.

Have you used it yet? The bolts that come with it are too long to fit vevor ladapter plate, replace them with studs lock washers and nuts bolted up just fine

Works on little machine shop mini lathe. Adds a flywheel effect to the lathe allowing deeper cuts in mild steel. Good quality.

Well made and accurate in use. Is being used as a tailstock chuck for a motorcycle crank grinding project. So far has been very consistent in operation and holding strongly without excessive force required or marking of the workpiece.

Mostly well built and the functionality of an independent 4 jaw chuck is very much needed in a machine shop. Not much to complain about. It works.

The price for this chuck is fantastic and you can end up with a decent chuck but only if you are willing to put some time into it. Out of the box it is a bit stiff to open and close. A quick clean up is definitely needed followed by a good oiling of the moving parts. Once that is done, a bit of time with a file is recommended to remove all the little burrs that are left from the manufacturing process. Doesn't take too terribly long and results in a perfectly usable chuck that is reasonably accurate. All in all a good chuck for the money. If you want a chuck that is perfect out of the box, go pay more.......lots more. If you are a hobbyist looking for a chuck for weekend projects or if you need a chuck you won't feel bad about abusing, this is the one for you.

Great chuck!!! bought this for my VEVOR MX-750!! Great fit, had to drill a couple holes but fit perfectly. I took it apart, cleaned it and lubricated it and it's great, smooth as silk and just what I needed. Thanks Vevor for another great product!!!

Seems well made and easy to dial in. Had to deburr the edges of the jaws just a bit to get them to slide smoothly, but no big deal. Happy with the value of this.
