This sander works beautifully, the quick auto-stop is a plus, and the larger pad makes flattening surfaces much easier. We are installing butcher block counter tops in our kitchen, 38 feet in total, and going through the sanding disks have made every inch perfectly smooth. I only use the weight of the sander when sanding and always use a vacuum to keep the sanding dust from being pulled into the motor, which would shorten the life of the sander if it was used without vacuum.

I needed this sander for one job. It was going to get about 3 weeks of straight use. It has plenty of power and did the job that a $500 sander would have done. I had one problem out of the box, the switch contacts arced and lost contact. I didn't have time to send it back so I cleaned the contacts and sprayed some electronics lubricant into the switch and it has worked fine ever since. That was in the spring and I've been using that sander ever since without any problems. Had to do a job with someone who has a very expensive similar sander, and this one performed just as well as his if not better. For the cost of this sander I have absolutely no complaints.
