I plan to use this GeoGrid to stabilize a compacted stone base underneath rubber mats in a horse barn where tractors will drive. is the 2" grid enough, or do I need 3" grid? There will be concrete or wooden curbs to hold the grid, base and mats in place. Thank you!

Driveway Install
Absolutely LOVED this product for what we wanted to do. Our driveway was too narrow and we had a huge drainage issue on either side, so the area was just muddy all of the time. We extended the driveway about 10' on either side, installed this product, and then covered with 87 stone. We ended up stapling everything in place and it worked fantastic. I was very pleased with how flat the product shipped and how easy it was to install. We also installed a french drain below it to help with drainage and haven't had an issue in over a year. Just make sure you put a border around the edges to hold everything in place so the system can do its job properly. Solid product!

Great product at inexpensive price. I really used this to control erosion around my new building where I had both slope toward and bank away to control. I put landscape fabric down over dirt and packed rock, then spread and staked down the geocell followed by filling it with #5 stone which holds everything in place. Don't forget the drainage pipe goes in first under everything wrapped with membrane in a bed of rock. I saved a lot by doing it myself - a little bit every day.

Starting to Come up
The only issue I have with this is that after a few months the rocks are getting under it and pushing it up. I think the only way to avoid this would be use many many more staples than I did. It is beginning to show over the rocks only after 4 months. Cars being parked on this over and over doesn't seem to be an issue at all.

Great product, easy to use, install looks great to me.
I wasn't sure which thickness to use on a driveway widening project with a slight slope to it. I decided on the 4 inch thick option as some reviews for the 2 inch thick option stated the thickness was inadequate. I put base material down under the Geo Cell Grid and put weed barrier over the base material. I then installed the Grid and held it in place with rebar 'J' hooks I purchased on Amazon. I filled the first two inches of the Grid with more base material as it is considerably cheaper than the granite chips I finished the project with. I removed all the 'J' hooks after filling the Grid with the granite chips. The final result looks good to me and I have driven my truck and trailer over the Grid and nothing has shifted thus far. Time will tell how it holds up but it seems very sturdy with the total thickness of 4 inches of base material and granite chips. (I tried to add photos but they were larger than what is allowed).
