I do a lot of work in my garage...grinding, cutting, welding, working under cars with dirt, rust, oil falling in my eyes. As an amateur chemist, I also work with a lot of nasty chemicals, the worst of which I try to use out in my garage. So, needless to say, my garage is a "potential eye hazard" location. Many times I've washed junk out of my eye in the kitchen sink. It's less than ideal. I got this to mount in my garage. It's going to take some doing, and it won't be done until spring, but I intend to tie this into the supply line for my garden hose. It's right in the corner of my garage and so would be a perfect spot for an eye wash station. I will have to stick a bucket under it to drain into, as I don't have any physical drain in my garage. Which is no big deal. But if you have a drain available, you could probably tie into it if you wanted. All the parts look to be made pretty well. And while I really don't want to test it out...ever...when I DO need it, it'll be good to have. I give this 5 stars...if it starts leaking or something, I'll be back to update.

This contained an everything needed to get your eye wash station all setup. I am notorious for getting sawdust and slivers in my eyes. I set this up in my woodshop in the likely but unfortunate next time I get something in my eye. It is made out of stainless steel and everything needed came in the box. I installed this in the basement so I just let the water pour onto the floor as it won’t hurt a thing. I don’t think it would meet osha standards based on my research but for home use or those occasions where osha isn’t even required I think it would be just fine. I hope I never need to use it for an emergency but if I do, I’m confident it will work fine. Not much to go wrong. It’s hooked directly to my cold water piping in my shop. The inlet is standard 1/2” pipe and the drain is 1-1/4” like a standard bath sink would be

I got this eyewash station for our dental office, which is required to have an eyewash station installed. This eyewash station requires a dedicated waterline. It runs by a push flap that automatically forces water out of the sprout. The overall build quality of this eyewash station isn’t the best. The material is thin (the stainless steel bowl is super lightweight) and easy to dent. If this eyewash station is installed somewhere where there is heavy traffic, I’m worried it will get easily damaged. The guidelines in Ontario for eyewash stations are as follows: Eyewash stations should be designed to deliver fluid to both eyes simultaneously at a volume flow rate of not less than 1.5 litres/minute (0.4 gallons/minute) for 15 minutes. The combination eye and face wash stations require 11.4 litres per minute (3.0 gallons per minute). However, in either case, the flow should not be at a velocity which may injure the eyes. The unit should be between 83.8 and 134.6 cm (33 to 53 inches) from the floor and a minimum of 15.3 cm (6 inches) from the wall or nearest obstruction. The manual indicates that the flow is 12-18L per minute so in theory, it should meet the guidelines. Overall, despite the lightweight materials used, if you’re looking for a basic eyewash this should get the job done, but if you’re looking for an eyewash station that might get used fairly often, I’m not sure this would stand the test of time.

Thing is really nice to have in my warehouse. Its made of quality materials, installation was easy. The design could use some more attention, specifically the paddle that turns it on and off. alittle hard and confusing especially if yo ur eyes are blinded.

I'm just a small shop and been needing one for a while. This one was reasonably on cost compared to others. Works as it should but the fittings are a little sloppy. (Over cut) an drips a little when used. But no problems when it isn't so that not a big deal.

Really sturdy and well-made eye wash station. The stainless steel feels heavy-duty, and it was easy to mount on the wall. I love that it’s simple but effective for basic first aid needs in a workshop or garage. The included sign is a little small but still clear enough. It doesn’t come with the hoses or a water connection kit, so you’ll have to set that up separately if you want a continuous flow, but for a basic emergency rinse setup, it’s great.

I did not set out looking for this, but I am building out a garage/workshop and I saw this recommended and thought "why not add this?' I have had some close calls over the years where an eye wash would have come in handy. I was part of the last generation to have shop classes in school, and we always had the eye wash station in the wood/metal/auto shops. I always figured if I were building my dream shop/garage, I would add one. This unit is well constructed and will be an asset that I hope I never need. It is a great value, when you consider what your vision is worth. The install is easy and straigh-forward.

I gave it to my friend because he just opened up his own garage and one of the requirements was to have a eye wash station in place. It was very easy to install . Worth every penny and now he can now open his business. The basin was brand new and shinny.Packed well. It was an absolutely professional grade eyewash stage.Recommend!
