On expansion valve systems, THE VALVE MUST BE REMOVED before the evaporator can be flushed. FLUSHED CONDENSERS FROM OUTLET TO INLET AND EVAPORATORS FROM INLET TO OUTLET.<br \/>\nWarning: Newer Style condenser designs are very hard, and sometimes it would be impossible to do flush. In those cases, it is suggested that the condenser should be replaced if the compressor has a significant failure.<\/li>\n<li>Drain all the oil from the new compressor and dispose of it according to local, state and federal laws. NOTE: If your compressor has a drain plug, you must open it up and drain what oil is in there, too.<\/li>\n<li>Install half of the oil charge into the compressor and the remainder throughout the system. Turn the compressor shaft 8-10 complete revolutions to lubricate the front seal and other internal parts.<\/li>\n<li>Install a new receiver, dryer, or accumulator and a new orifice tube or expansion valve.<\/li>\n<li>Evacuate the A\/C system for a minimum of one hour.<\/li>\n<li>After evacuation, install half the refrigerant charge and let the system set for 1 minute. This will allow the refrigerant to pick up oil and spread more evenly throughout the system.<\/li>\n<li>Start the engine with A\/C controls on MAX AIR with open doors and windows.<\/li>\n<li>Add the remaining refrigerant charge as the manufacturer has called for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>CAUTION:<\/strong> This Air Compressor will become very HOT during and immediately after use.
