With it, you can customize clothing, accessories, mugs, tumblers, and all sorts of items. It helps you create professional looking designs with vinyl or dye that will last, even after washing! Pair it with a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abcrafty.com\/how-to-make-an-epson-ecotank-sublimation-printer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">sublimation printer<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abcrafty.com\/sublimation-ink-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">sublimation inks<\/a>\u00a0and you\u2019ll be able to Press<\/h2><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-set-the-temperature-and-time-on-your-vevor-heat-press\">Set the Temperature and Time on Your VEVOR Heat Press<\/h3><p>Start by placing the heat press on a sturdy table (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vevor.com\/heat-press-machine-c_11148\/vevor-heat-press-machine-sublimation-machine-15-x-15-inch-5-in-1-heat-press-set-p_010839311467\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this is similar to the one I have<\/a>). Then you\u2019ll want to turn it on and set the temperature and time. The way you\u2019ll determine these settings is based on the material you\u2019re using for your design. On the packaging, it will tell you the correct temperature and pressing time to use for the material you\u2019re pressing.<\/p><p>For my project, since I was doing sublimation (using\u00a0this black paper) on a shirt, I set the temperature to 365 degrees Fahrenheit and the timer to 40 seconds.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1017\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/diy-ideas.oss-accelerate.aliyuncs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/SET-VEVOR-HEAT-PRESS.png\" alt=\"set vevor heat press\" class=\"wp-image-25397\" style=\"width:761px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/SET-VEVOR-HEAT-PRESS.png!webp 1017w, https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/SET-VEVOR-HEAT-PRESS-300x196.png!webp 300w, https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/SET-VEVOR-HEAT-PRESS-768x501.png!webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1017px) 100vw, 1017px\" \/><\/figure><p>This is what the controls look like on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vevor.com\/heat-press-machine-c_11148\/vevor-15x15-5-in-1-t-shirt-hat-heat-press-machine-transfer-swing-away-p_010700796924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">my machine<\/a>, but most will work similarly. Therefore to set the temperature, start by pressing the MODE button. The top number (TEMP) will start to flash. This will set the starting temperature.<\/p><p>You can then use the + and \u2013 buttons to adjust the temperature.<\/p><p>Once you have the starting temperature, press the MODE button again. Now you can set the ending temperature. (For the record, I have yet to do a project where the starting and ending temperature are different).<\/p><p>Press the MODE button again and the numbers next to TIME will flash. This is where you can set your timer (in seconds). What it\u2019s ultimately doing is raising and lowering the top plate. You can then lift and lower the handle to test out the pressure until it feels correct for your project.<\/p><p>Since I was doing sublimation, I wanted the pressure to be on the higher side so I tightened the knob to the right.<\/p><p><strong>Tip<\/strong>:&nbsp;it\u2019s always a good idea to have a test piece handy to make sure all the settings are correct before pressing onto your final item.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1017\" height=\"678\" src=\"https:\/\/diy-ideas.oss-accelerate.aliyuncs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/set-pressure-of-vevor-heat-press.png\" alt=\"set pressure of VEVOR heat press\" class=\"wp-image-25399\" style=\"width:788px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/set-pressure-of-vevor-heat-press.png!webp 1017w, https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/set-pressure-of-vevor-heat-press-300x200.png!webp 300w, https:\/\/i.vevor.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/set-pressure-of-vevor-heat-press-768x512.png!webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1017px) 100vw, 1017px\" \/><\/figure><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-create-your-design\">Create Your Design<\/h3><p>You can do this prior to setting everything up and have it ready or depending on your design, you can get it ready while the heat presses warms up.<\/p><p>Cut out your design from the vinyl or sublimation paper (whichever you\u2019re using \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Infusible-Transfer-Pre-Printed-Sublimation-Coasters\/dp\/B09MYH2F71?th=1&amp;psc=1&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=abcrafty-20&amp;linkId=a465f2adfcfc4779cb10b57caa1ff29b&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">this is what I used for this project<\/a>) with scissors or a cutting machine such as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Cricut-Explore-Air-2-Mint\/dp\/B01GSOMVRG?crid=NI48HT9W728U&amp;keywords=cricut+air&amp;qid=1669079819&amp;sprefix=cricut+ai%2Caps%2C278&amp;sr=8-2&amp;ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.08f69ac3-fd3d-4b88-bca2-8997e41410bb&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=abcrafty-20&amp;linkId=b75c500571d4d45046c3080636e94563&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cricut<\/a>. I went with this fun Disney snacks design that I got on\u00a0Etsy. Be sure to cut it as a mirrored image!\u00a0<\/p><p>Then weed your design \u2013 which means removing any pieces that aren\u2019t part of your design. To make it easy you can get tools for this (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Cricut-Basic-Tool-Core-Colors\/dp\/B07STGLY6J?keywords=weeding+tools+for+vinyl&amp;qid=1669080532&amp;sprefix=weeding+to%2Caps%2C109&amp;sr=8-9&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=abcrafty-20&amp;linkId=61a57ad0203a33c8314fbdb2ce509300&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">this is the set I have<\/a>).<\/p><p><strong>Tip:\u00a0<\/strong>If you\u2019re using an image from the internet, make sure that it is high resolution so that it doesn\u2019t come out blurry when you transfer it. If you\u2019re using vinyl, you can simply place your item on the bottom plate.<\/p><p>Then place your design on top of the item \u2013 make sure it\u2019s centered and that there aren\u2019t any air bubbles under the image.
