VEVOR Hydraulic Bead Breaker, 1000,0 PSI Tire Bead Breaker Manual

VEVOR Hydraulic Bead Breaker, 10000 PSI Tire Bead Breaker Manual

Versatile and Efficient: The hydraulic bead breaker provides efficient and quick tire separation for heavy vehicles, making tire removal from rims easy. With strong versatility, the tire bead breaker can be used for a wide range of vehicles including tractors, trucks, buses, lawn mowers, ATVs, golf carts, and more.
Powerful Hydraulic Force: Equipped with a high-pressure hydraulic system, the bead breaker delivers a strong and consistent force to break even the toughest beads. It requires only the machine and the pedal to be connected to the tubing for installation, and the oil pump delivers a powerful 10,000 PSI force in just 3 seconds. No additional tools or assistance are needed to break beads.
Wheel-friendly Design: The thickened hook-type front claw and a solid base securely clamps the rims of various sizes without causing any wear or damage. The base easy inserts between the tire and hub, ensuring a tight grip and preventing slippage. To further protect the tires, it is recommended to use leather protection during operation to reduce friction.
Sturdy and Durable Construction: Constructed with high-hardness Q235B steel, the hydraulic bead breaker and oil pump provide long-lasting reliability. The powder-coating process makes the bead breaker rust-proof and corrosion-resistant. The thickened tubing is equipped with steel wire for double protection, allowing it to withstand heavy use and handle demanding work environments.
Compact and Portable: The lightweight design of the hydraulic bead breaker enables easy transportation to outdoor locations or work areas. It occupies minimal space, making it convenient to store in a garage or vehicle trunk. This portability ensures effortless tire replacement or repair operations.

VEVOR Hydraulic Bead Breaker Specifications

Read this manual and follow all the safety rules and operating instructions before using this product.

This manual is integral to the BEAD BREAKER KIT and must always accompany it when sold. The BEAD BREAKER KIT’s owner and/or end user must follow the instructions and the manufacturer’s suggestions before using it. If the end user does not understand the language of this manual, instructions must be read and explained in his mother tongue, ensuring he understands their meaning.

The Air/Hydraulic pump can generate fluid pressure up to 10,000psi. Ensure the tool in use is held securely and in proper working condition. Please do not continue to operate until he work is completed. Failure to comply with these instructions could result in personal injury or damage to the equipment, including oil port thread size, usable oil capacity, and more.

The manufacturer is not liable for any damage to persons or things due to incorrect use of this BEAD BREAKER KIT.

Before Use

  • A visual control must be carried out whenever you want to use the BEAD BREAKER, checking leaks, damages, missing or loose parts, worn parts, etc.
  • All the BEAD BREAKERS must be carefully checked to see if it has suffered damage or a clash.

We suggest that skilled personnel yearly check the beadbreaker and that all defective parts, worn parts, etc. are replaced by using original spare parts supplied by the manufacturer (see spare parts list)

  • To prevent oil leak during shipment, a metal knob is installedandtightened to ensure the best sealing function for the air hydraulicpump. Loosen it counterclockwise before use.
  • Depressing the RELEASE pedal decreases pressure, and pressing the PUMP end of the pedal provides fluid.

Hydraulic Bead Breaker Operation

Connect the hydraulic pump (manual or air) to the beadbreaker through the quick couplers. If you use the air/hydraulic pump, connect it to a compressed air source of 100- 120psi. (See the separate manual of the air/hydraulic pump!)

Test the bead breaker before you attach it to the rim. Release all air from the tire, remove the cap, valve and the valve extension. Verify that the tire is completely deflated!

How to Operate the Air Hydraulic Pump

Connect the Air/Hydraulic Pump hose to the hydraulic coupling on the selected tool.

Connect the air supply line to the Air/Hydraulic Pump. To obtain proper operating characteristics, the air supply should be 5-10 CFM at 100 PSI. In addition, the airline should be equipped with an airline filter.

Stepping on the PUMP end of the pedal engages the pump, producing the force necessary to run the tool.

Depressing the RELEASE end of the pump pedal will release the pressure.

How to Operate the Hydraulic Bead Breaker

This bead breaker works on all rims(optional claws may be required). Depending on the type of wheel, make sure you have the right accessories installed:

  • Hold the bead breaker to the rim as indicated in the above figure.
  • The claw pushes against the inner part of the rim, while the shovel and feet push against the lateral ring and the tire bead.
  • Maintaining pressure, the shovel pushes against the bead of the tire, thus breaking the bead from the rim.
  • Repeat this operation around the rim as often as needed to break the tire bead from the wheel’s rim completely.
  • Remove the Clip-Ring with the appropriate tools, and the ring will come loose.
  • Repeat this operation on the opposite bead of the tire rim.

Attention! Safety Regulations

  1. Always deflate tires before starting disassembling operations.
  2. Use the proper tools.
  3. Always use protective means (accident-prevention shoes, etc.)Do not forget that there are always crushing risks!
  4. Lock the safety rods on articulated vehicles.
  5. The safety valve is set and sealed by the manufacturer.

It is forbidden to tamper with the bead breaker and change its calibration.

The INCOMPLIANCE or these INSTRUCTIONS can cause damage and/ or breakage to the BEAD BREAKERS with consequent damages to persons and things.

Maintenance

Check the tools before their use. In case of oil leaks, replace these seals. For pump maintenance, see its instruction manual.

Checks

  • Check the tools before their use. In case of oil leaks, replace these seals.
  • Inspect hoses and connections daily.
  • Tighten connections as needed. Use non-hardening pipe thread compound when servicing connections.
  • Use only good-quality hydraulic fluid. We recommend Mobil DTE13M or equivalent for the air hydraulic pump.

When not in use or during storage

  • Depressurize and disconnect hydraulic hoses from application.
  • Wipe the bead breaker clean, thoroughly.
  • Store in a clean, dry environment. Avoid temperature extremes.
  • Shield the pump with a protective cover.

Adding Hydraulic Fluid in the Bead Breaker

  • Depressurize and disconnect the hydraulic hose from application.
  • With the pump in its upright, horizontal position, remove the oil filler plug on the reservoir’s top plate.
  • Use a small funnel to fill the reservoir to within 3/4″(19mm) of the opening.

Note: Use only good-quality hydraulic jack oil.

Never use brake fluid, transmission fluid, turbine oil, motor oil, alcohol, glycerin, etc. Use of anything other than good quality hydraulic oil will void the warranty and damage the pump, hose, and application.

  • Wipe up any spilled fluid and reinstall the oil filler plug

Changing Hydraulic Fluid

  • For best results, change the fluid once a year.
  • Remove the oil filler plug on the reservoir’s top plate, then pour the used fluid into a sealed container.
  • Dispose of fluid per local regulations.
  • Fill with a good quality hydraulic jack oil as recommended above. Reinstall the vented oil filler plug.

Lubrication

Use a light machine oil to lubricate pivot points, hinges, etc.

Note: Never operate the pump with the release valve closed and disconnected from application. If operated in this condition, the hose and connections become pressurized. This increases the burst hazard. Damage may occur to the pump and its components.
