Model: GZB80263-1100-12V

Warning:
- Read carefully and understand all ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS before operating.
- Failure to follow the safety rules and other basic safety precautions may result in serious personal injury.
General Safety Rules
- Never overload.
- The load is maximum when the arm of the product is adjusted to the shortest. The load of the product decreases as the arm increases.
- Always wear ANSI-approved safety goggles.
- Always wear hearing protection when working in noisy environments. Prolonged exposure to high-intensity noise can cause hearing loss.
- Use safety equipment. Safety shoes, hard hats, and work gloves must be used for applicable conditions.
- Dress appropriately. Never wear loose clothing with long hair, and keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Use common sense when working. Stay alert and concentrate when setting up and using this Crane. Never work while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
- While assembling and using the crane, keep the work area clean and well-lighted. Keep spectators and children out of the work area.
- This Crane is designed to be positioned outside the truck bed and attached to the vehicle via the receiver hitch. It is portable and easily adjusts to different boom positions for maximum capacity of 275, 550, and 1100 Lbs. Please do not modify the Crane or use it for unintended purposes.
Caution
- Never exceed the maximum of 1,000 Lbs. When attaching the load to the Hook with a Chain, use appropriate couplings rated to handle the load. Couplings must be fully engaged on the Hook, with the Hook’s safety latch closed.
- Never lift people or animals. Keep children and spectators out of the area under and around the lifted cargo. When operating the crane, stay out of the area between the Crane and the load.
- Before each use, inspect the Crane, the Long Ram Jack, the Chain, and the Hook for damage, corrosion, and any other condition that might affect the safe performance of this product.
- Only set up the crane when the pickup truck is off the highway in a precise location away from oncoming traffic.
- Before lifting cargo into the truck bed, ensure the engine is OFF with the automatic transmission in PARK. Manual transmission vehicles should be in gear. Chock all wheels for added safety.
- When using this product, adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Note the position of the vehicle’s exhaust pipes before setting up the crane. Flammable goods lifted by the Crane could come in contact with still-hot exhaust pipes and catch fire.
- Setting up the Crane and maneuvering heavy cargo on the crane can be strenuous and dangerous. This should only be done by individuals who can physically handle the demands of these tasks.
- The Crane is for lifting purposes only, not for supporting loads. Quickly support the load with appropriate jack stands or equivalent, if immediate loading or unloading is impossible. Do not leave a suspended load unattended.
- Remove the Crane from the vehicle’s receiver hitch when the Crane is not in use.
- Always be aware of dynamic loading. An excess load may be created briefly by a sudden tug or weight gain, which can damage the Crane, the cargo, and/or cause personal injury.
- Remember that the previously discussed warnings cannot cover all possible events and circumstances. The person setting up, loading/ unloading, and using this product must always use common sense.

Components

Assembly
1. Install the upright rod (A) on the strong truck floor and lock it with bolts and nuts (G).

2. Slowly slip the rotating head (B) onto the upright rod; Locking the long screw can make the rotating head (B) not rotate.

3. Install the movable boom (C). Connect B and C with two pins (I), and the pin end is stuck into the cotter pin.
Note: The rotating head(B) has three holes(X1, X2, X3) for adjusting angles.
The movable boom(C) can rotate around O to adjust the angle.

4. Insert the telescopic boom (D) into the movable boom (C), then connect with a pin (J).
Note: For D, you must adjust three different load positions.

5. Install the electric winch, and lock it with bolts and nuts (H+K). Remove the limit pin at P, open the electric winch clutch, pull out the hook, place the steel wire into the pulley groove, reinstall the limit pin (E), as shown below.

Electric Pickup Truck Crane Operation
WARNING:
The electric winch is a powerful machine. If used unsafely or improperly, it could result in property damage or personal injury. The responsibility for safely installing and operating the winch and preventing personal injury and property damage ultimately rests with you, the operator. There is no substitute for good judgment and caution in operating a winch.
- The maximum working load capacity is on the wire rope layer closest to the drum. Do not overload. Do not attempt prolonged pulls at heavy loads. Overloads can damage the winch and/or the wire rope and create unsafe operating conditions.
- For loads over 1/2 rated capacity, we recommend using the optional pulley block to double-line the wire rope. This reduces the load on the winch and the strain on the wire rope by approximately 50%.
- Inspect wire rope and equipment frequently. Replace any frayed wire ropes immediately.
- Use heavy leather gloves when handling wire rope. Do not let wire ropes slide through your hands.
- Never winch with less than 5 turns of wire rope around the winch drums since the wire rope end fastener may NOT withstand the whole load.
- Never release the free-spool clutch when there is a load on the winch.
- Do not machine or weld any part of the winch. Such alterations may weaken the structural integrity of the winch.
- Do not connect the winch to AC 110V house current or 220V mains, as a winch burnout or fatal shock may occur.
Caution
- Never allow shock loads to be applied to the winch or wire rope.
- To ensure safe operation, the switch assembly must be free of dirt and moisture.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Protective, electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear a restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
- Never use your winch for lifting or moving people.
- The winch is designed primarily for intermittent applications.
- Keep clear of the winch, wire rope, and hook while operating.
- Do not let the wire rope knot, so as not to cause damage to the wire rope.
- To pull the cable, turn the clutch knob counterclockwise to loosen it, and then pull out the cable. You need to always leave at least five turns of cable on the spool to prevent tearing the cable out of the winch.
Electric Pickup Truck Crane Wiring Installation
- Route the short red and black color-coded wires to the motor.
- Route the long, red, and black color-coded wires to the battery.
- Connect the wired controller to the control box
- Check that all wiring is clear of sharp edges and pinchpoints.
- Secure loose wiring with tie wraps or electrical tape.
- Never leave the switch plugged in when the winch is not in use.

Pickup Truck Crane Maintenance
- Frequently check the condition of the truck-mounted crane.
- Do not use the damaged crane.
- Make sure all components are in good condition. Replace the crane or receiver hitch if it becomes damaged by an accident or if you note any other type of damage.
- Check to make sure that all hardware is tightly secured in place.
- Keep the Crane clean and periodically lubricate moving parts
- If the wire rope has become worn or is beginning to show signs of strands breaking, it must be replaced before being used again.
