Important Safety Warnings

About SKU2. The VEVOR SKU2 represents some of the most innovative and advanced technology on the market, making each charge simple and easy. It is the safest and most efficient charger you will ever use.

The SKU2 is designed for charging all types of 6V & 12V & 24V lead-acid batteries, including Lithium, LiFePO4, Wet (Flooded), Gel, MF (Maintenance-Free), CA (Calcium), EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery), and AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) batteries. It is suitable for charging battery capacities up to 300 Amp-Hours and maintaining all battery sizes.

Getting Started. Before using the charger, carefully read the battery manufacturer’s specific precautions and recommended rates of charge for the battery. Make sure to determine the voltage and chemistry of the battery by referring to your battery owner’s manual before charging. Mounting. It is crucial to keep in mind the distance to the battery. The DC cable length from the charger, with either the battery clamp or eyelet terminal connectors, is approximately 47.2 inches (1200mm)

Proposition 65. Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain chemicals, including lead. These materials are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.

Personal Precaution.

Only use the Smart Battery Charger as intended. Someone should be within range of your voice or close enough to come to your aid in an emergency. Have a supply of clean water and soap nearby for battery acid contamination. Wear complete eye protection and protective clothing while working near a battery. Always wash your hands after handling batteries and related materials. Do not handle or wear metal objects, including tools, watches, or jewelry when working with batteries.

If metal is dropped onto a battery, it may spark or create a short circuit, resulting in electrical shock, fire, or explosion, which can cause injury, death, or property damage. Minors. If the product is intended by “Purchaser” to be used by a minor, the purchasing adult agrees to provide detailed instructions and warnings to any minor before use.

Failure to do so is the sole responsibility of the “Purchaser,” who agrees to indemnify VEVOR for any unintended use or misuse by a minor—choking Hazard. Accessories may present a choking hazard to children. Do not leave children unattended with the product or any accessory. The product is not a toy.

Handling. Handle the product with care.

If impacted, the product can become damaged. Do not use a damaged product, including, but not limited to, cracks in the casing or damaged cables. Do not use the product with a damaged power cord. Humidity and liquids may damage the product. Do not handle the product or any electrical components near any liquid. Store and operate products in dry locations. Do not operate the product if it becomes wet.

If the product is already operating and becomes wet, disconnect it from the battery and discontinue use immediately. Do not disconnect the product by pulling on the cables.

Modifications.

Do not attempt to alter, modify, or repair any part of the product. Disassembling the product may cause injury, death, or property damage. If the product becomes damaged, malfunctions, or comes in contact with any liquid, discontinue use and contact VEVOR. Any modifications to the product will void your warranty.

Accessories. This VEVOR Smart Battery Charger, is only approved for use with VEVOR accessories. VEVOR is not responsible for user safety or damage when using accessories that VEVOR does not approve.

Location.

Prevent battery acid from coming in contact with the product. Do not operate the product in a closed-in or area with restricted ventilation. Do not set a battery on top of the product.

Position cable leads to avoid accidental damage by moving vehicle parts (including hoods and doors), moving engine parts (including fan blades, belts, and pulleys), or anything that could become a hazard that may cause injury or death.

Operating Temperature.

This Smart Battery Charger is designed to work in ambient temperatures between -4° F and 104° F (-20° C and 40° C).

Do not operate outside of temperature ranges, do not charge a frozen battery, and discontinue use of the product immediately if the battery becomes excessively warm.

Smart Battery Charger Storage.

Do not use or store your Smart Battery Charger in areas with high dust or airborne material concentrations. Store your product on flat, secure surfaces not prone to falling and in a dry location.

The storage temperature is -20ºC – 25ºC (average temperature). Never exceed 70ºC under any condition. Compatibility. The product is only compatible with 6V & 12V & 24V Lead-Acid, AGM, 12V & 24V LiFePO4, and 12V & 24V Lithium batteries. Do not attempt to use the Smart Battery Charger with any other type of battery.

Charging other Battery chemistries may result in injury, death, or property damage. Contact the battery manufacturer before attempting to charge the battery. Do not charge a battery if you know its specific chemistry or voltage.

Medical Devices.

The Smart Battery Charger may emit electromagnetic fields and contain magnetic components that interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices.

Consult your physician before use if you have any medical devices, including pacemakers. If you suspect the product is interfering with a medical device, stop using the product immediately and consult your physician.

Cleaning.

Power off the product before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Clean and dry the product immediately if it comes in contact with liquid or any contaminant. Use a soft, lint-free (microfiber) cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings.

Explosive Atmospheres.

Obey all signs and instructions. Do not operate the product in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, including fueling areas or areas that contain chemicals or particles such as grain, dust or metal powders.

High-Consequence Activities.

This product is not intended for use where its failure could lead to injury, death, or severe environmental damage.

Radio Frequency Interference.

The product is designed, tested, and manufactured to comply with radio frequency emissions regulations. Such emissions from the product can negatively affect the operation of other electronic equipment, causing it to malfunction.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, according to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This Smart Battery Charger generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used per the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.

Operating this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, which the user will be required to correct at his own expense.

How To Use the Smart Battery Charger

Charging Modes.

The SKU2 has fifteen (15) modes: Standby, CHARGING(6VAGM,12V AGM,24V AGM, 12V Lithium,24V Lithium,12V LiFePO4,24VLiFePO4),Maintain(6VAGM,12V AGM,24V AGM),Desulfation(6VAGM,12V AGM), and Forcemode(6VAGM,12V AGM,24V AGM). When Force mode is selected, you can charge by selecting different currents with different Voltages.

Please select battery types after opening the switch. These advanced charging modes require your full attention before deciding. It is essential to understand the differences and purpose of each charge mode. Do not operate the charger until you confirm the appropriate charge mode for your battery.

Below is a brief description:

Lead-acid battery charging

  1. Firstly, press the Battery Type key to select lead, then press the Start to charge.
  2. Press the key Battery Type to select lead, secondly, press the key Voltage(6v,12v,24v), then press the key Start to charge.
  3. Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select a lead. Secondly, press the key Voltage(6v,12v,24v). Then, press the key Current. Lastly, press the Start key to charge.

Caution: Please ensure your charger is a lead-acid battery when selecting this mode. Your battery voltage must match the chosen voltage, or the charging will fail. When the battery voltage is unknown, please select auto for voltage.

LiFePo4 battery charging

  1. Firstly press the key Battery Type to select LiFePo4 ,then press the key Voltage(6v,12v,24v), hen press the key Start to charge
  2. Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select LiFePo4, secondly, press the key Voltage(6v,12v,24v), then press the key Current, lastly, press the key Start to charge.

Caution: Please ensure your charger is a LiFePo4 battery when selecting this mode. Also, please ensure your battery voltage suits the chosen voltage, or the charging will fail.

Lithium battery charging

  1. Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select a Lithium battery, press the key Voltage (12V, 24V), and finally, press the Start to charge.
  2. Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select Lithium battery, secondly, press the key Voltage(12V, 24V), then press the key Current, lastly, press the key Start to charge

Caution: Please ensure your charger is a Lithium battery when selecting this mode. Please ensure your battery voltage suits the chosen voltage, or the charging
will fail.

Maintain

Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select lead, then press the key Maintain, then press the key Voltage to select a suitable voltage, and lastly, press the key Start to charge. The charger will be charged by light current to ensure a complete charge, and this mode will not damage your battery.

Desulfation

Firstly, press the key Battery Type to select a lead. Secondly, press the key Desulfation. Then, press the key Voltage(6v,12v). Lastly, press the key Start to charge.

Caution: When the battery is seriously aging and the capacity is insufficient, you can select this mode to repair it. Please note that the battery can only be repaired one at a time.

Force mode

First, press the key Battery Type to select lead, then press Voltage and Current, and lastly, press the key Start.

Caution: This mode can be selected if it is used as a power supply or undetected battery voltage.

Professional Mode

Firstly, press the key Battery Type, then open the power switch to enter the professional mode.

When entering professional mode, please select a different battery with different steps:

1 Press the key Battery Type to select LiFePo4, secondly press the key Voltage to select voltage and bat cells (three cells is 11V after fully charged, four cells is 14.6V after fully charged,  six cells is 21.9V after fully charged, 8 cells is 29.2V after fully charged), and the current is selected as the same with non-professional mode 2 Press the key Battery Type to select Lithium, secondly press the key Voltage to select voltage and battery cells(three cells is 12.6V after fully charged, four cells is 16.8V after fully charged, 6 cells is 25.2V after fully charged, 8 cells is 33.6V after fully charged), and the current is selected as the same with non-professional mode.
Caution: In the mode of LiFePo4 and Lithium, hidden Bat cells will be shown.

Please note that non-professionals don’t select this mode. If selected, please connect the battery supplier, or there will be danger.

This mode can’t be memorized; the charger will return to a non-professional state after being turned off.

Connecting to the Battery.

Do not connect the AC power plug until all other connections are made. Identify the correct polarity of the battery terminals on the battery. Do not connect the carburetor, fuel lines, or thin sheet metal parts.

The instructions below are for a negative ground system (most common). If your vehicle is a positive ground system (uncommon), follow the instructions below in reverse order.

  1. Connect the positive (red) eyelet terminal connector to the positive (POS, P,+) battery terminal.
  2. Connect the negative (black) eyelet terminal connector to the negative (NEG, N,-) battery terminal.
  3. Connect the battery charger to a suitable electrical outlet. Do not face the battery when making this connection.
  4. When disconnecting, disconnect in the reverse sequence, removing the negative first (or positive first for positive ground systems).

Begin Charging.

  1. Verify the voltage and chemistry of the battery.
  2. Confirm that you have correctly connected the battery clamps or eyelet terminal connectors and that the AC power plug is plugged into an electrical outlet.
  3. [First-time use] The charger will begin in Standby mode, and blue will indicate the pause. In Standby, the charger does not provide any power.
  4. Press the key battery type to select batteries, the key voltage, and the key current.
  5. Press the key Start, and it will be lit blue. Secondly, the battery will be detected. If the battery is standard, no battery indicator will be lost, and the charger will work normally, or vice versa.
  6. The charger can always be connected to the battery to provide maintenance charging.

Auto-Memory: The charger has built-in auto-memory and will return to the last charge mode when connected. Select a suitable mode and press the Start key, and then the charger will save the new working mode.

Smart Battery Charger Charging Modes

Charging Times.

The estimated time to charge a battery is shown below. The size of the battery (Ah) and its depth of discharge (DOD) greatly affect its charging time. The charge time is based on an average depth of discharge to a fully charged battery and is for reference purposes only.

Actual data may differ due to battery conditions. The time to charge a typically discharged battery is based on a 50% DOD. Temperature will also impact charging times.

The SKU2 features thermal compensation that automatically adjusts charging profiles to maximize charging performance.

VEVOR warrants that this product (the “Product”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for Three (3) years from the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). For defects reported during the Warranty Period, VEVOR will, at its discretion, and subject to VEVOR’s technical support analysis, repair or replace defective products.

Replacement parts and products will be new or serviceably used, comparable in function and performance to the original part, and warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period.

To assert a warranty claim, the purchaser must: (1) request and obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number and return location information (the “Return Location”) from VEVOR Support by emailing support@no.co or by calling 1.800.456.6626; and (2) send the Product, including RMA number, and receipt to the Return Location.

DO NOT SEND IN PRODUCT WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING AN RMA FROM VEVOR SUPPORT.

The original purchaser is responsible (and must prepay) for all packaging and transportation costs to ship products for warranty service.

NOTWITHSTANDING THE ABOVE, THIS HASSLE-FREE WARRANTY IS VOID AND DOES NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS THAT: (a) are misused, mishandled, subjected to abuse or careless handling, accident, improperly stored, or operated under conditions of extreme voltage, temperature, shock, or vibration beyond VEVOR’s recommendations for safe and effective use; (b) improperly installed, operated, or maintained; (c) are/were modified without the express written consent of VEVOR; (d) have been disassembled, altered or repaired by anyone other than VEVOR; (e) the defects of which were reported after the Warranty Period.

THIS HASSLE-FREE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: (1) normal wear and tear; (2) cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality; or (3) Products where the VEVOR serial number is missing, altered, or defaced.
HASSLE-FREE WARRANTY CONDITIONS

These conditions apply only to the Product during the Warranty Period. The Hassle-Free Warranty is void either by elapsed time from the date of purchase (elapsed time from the serial number date, if no proof of purchase) or from the conditions listed earlier in this document. Return the Product with the appropriate documentation.

With Receipt:

0-3 Years: NO Charge. With proof of purchase, the warranty period begins on the date of purchase.

With NO Receipt:

0-3 Years: NO Charge. The warranty period begins on the serial number date, with no proof of purchase.
