SAFETY INSTRUCTION

• The following measures shall not be adopted

Change the critical component of the diesel air heater.

Make use of spare parts from other manufacturers without permission.

Disobey the instructions and guidelines during installation or operation.

• Only allow the use of the original attachment and spare parts during installation and maintenance.
• The heaters shall not be used in places where they may form flammable vapor or dust, for example:

Fuel depot

Carbon storehouse

Timber storehouse

Granary and similar sites

Diesel/petrol station

Avoid fuel tanks, compression tanks, fire extinguishers, clothes, or other flammable objects. 4. Do not use a cigarette lighter for startup.

• Do not use the heater in closed and/or unventilated places.
• The heaters shall be turned off when filling fuel.
• Do not cut off the electric power during operation.
• If there is a fuel leak or discharge from the heater’s fuel system, don’t hesitate to contact VEVOR for repair.
• Place the exhaust outlet outside to prevent any penetration of exhaust fumes.
• It is forbidden to cut off the electric power directly during the work process to stop the heater from working. 11. Seal all gaps between the mounting plate and the car body.
• The machine will stop heating after over-temperature protection. Please do not power off. It can be restarted after the machine is naturally cooled and turned off.
• After turning off the machine, please do not immediately disconnect the power supply. It takes 3-5 minutes for the machine to stop working altogether.
• After starting the machine for 3-5 minutes, it will work normally and heat up. Please wait patiently.
• When the heater is just starting, the current is relatively high, so a power supply adapter with a voltage of 12V and a current of 15A or greater is required.

PRODUCT FUNCTION

1. The diesel heater (hereinafter referred to as the heater) is independent of the original engine system. It makes use of a 12V direct current to drive. The heater has two kinds of control modes: Automatic control mode and Manual control mode. The heater adopts light diesel, which corresponds to the environmental temperature as fuel, and it can be started and operated normally at a temperature above 40 °C. The inhaled fresh air is heated to hot air through the heat exchanger by the energy that comes from fuel burning, then blown where it is needed. This type of heater has the advantage of compact structure, lightweight, high thermal efficiency, economizing on electricity and fuel, and easy installation.
2. The heater gets rid of damage to the car caused by the sudden drop in temperature, improves the temperature inside the car, and preheats the engine coolant to avoid engine wear at low temperatures. Conducive to car interior thawing, carstart, and car glass defrost fog.

During installation, the oil tank should be placed appropriately above the main engine to facilitate the fuel pump’s operation.

Warning:

1. The air inlet shall not be blocked, and the inlet shall be kept open and transparent.
2. Keep the exhaust pipe clear. The exhaust pipe outlet shall be kept from anything flammable, and care shall be taken to avoid heating and igniting the flammable goods and loading cargo on the ground.
3. To ensure optimal combustion, please remember that the smoke exhaust pipe cannot be placed upward, but must be placed horizontally or downward.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

After starting the machine for 3-5 minutes, it will work normally and heat up. Please wait patiently.

Working Mode

The gear setting can be adjusted within the 1 to 10 gear range in gear mode.

In the temperature control mode, the set temperature can be adjusted within the range of 8~36℃. The control switch’s gear position varies with the cab’s temperature. When the temperature rises or decreases, the control switch will automatically adjust the operating gear position, quickly reaching the set temperature and allowing the heater to operate more intelligently and economically.

When a fault occurs during operation, the control switch display window will flash to display the fault code, allowing for a more accurate and intuitive diagnosis.

Operating instructions

On/Off: Press the power key to start the machine in the off state; Press it again to shut it down when it is turned on.

Mode switching: under the temperature control mode, press [M] to switch to gear mode, and under gear mode, press【M】to switch to temperature control mode.

Gear adjustment: Run gear/temperature+1, up to 10 gear/36℃. Press the button again to run gear/temperature -1, down to 1 gear/8℃.

Time setting: The screen displays the current time in the power-on state. Enter the time setting:

• To set the current time, press【M】to set it, and press the up/down arrows to switch.
• Set the automatic start time using the abovementioned method.
• This refers to the operation time after automatic startup. The setting method is the same as above. The switching unit is 0.5 hours.
• Set the automatic start function ON/OFF. After the automatic start function is enabled, the screen alarm clock icon will always be on. After all adjustments are successful, press and hold【M】for 3s to save all timesettings and return to the operation interface. Press【M】to set and switch the time, press【M】again to confirm the setting, and after all time settings are completed, press and hold 【M】for 3stosetsuccessfully and return to the operation interface;

Engineering mode: Press and hold the up/down arrows for 3s in the startup state to enter engineering mode, press the up arrow item+1, and press the down arrow item- 1.

In engineering mode, the display area displays data items:

• 001: Heater main board version number.
• 002: Fault code.
• 003: Shell temperature.
• 004: Power supply voltage.
• 005: Heater operating gear.
• 006: Cab temperature.
• 007: Altitude.
• 010: Bluetooth matching.

Remote control matching: Press and hold the up button for 3 seconds to display ‘rte’ on the screen when the machine is turned on. At this time, press any key on the remote control. The system will automatically return to the operation interface if the matching is successful.

Bluetooth matching (optional): open the mobile phone applet, pressthe【Set】key, set the 4-digit password, and then adjust the switch to enter the 010 project in the engineering mode. The interface displays the original password. The code flashes until the original password changes to the set password, and the interface display changes to “SUC”.

After successful matching, it automatically returns to the operation interface.

Query the local Bluetooth name: After turning on the machine, press the power button and【M】for 3s simultaneously. The screen displays the Bluetooth name in 4-digit characters (0-F), and the non-Bluetooth version screen displays “NULL.” Press any key again to exit.

Language switching: Press and hold【M】and down arrow for 3s while turning on the machine to switch, and cycle through the sequence of “English”, “German”, “Russian”, and”voice off “;

Oil pumping mode: Under the first power-on and power-off state, press and hold down the arrow for 7s, and the display area starts to count down for 300s to begin pumping oil. After the countdown is completed, the pump automatically ends, or press the power button to end pumping oil and shut down.

Fault display: When the heater fails, the display area flashes a fault code, and the fault type is shown in the table below:

Diesel Air Heater Bluetooth Operation

Search and download the corresponding app, “airHeaterBle,” in the iOS or Android app store. Then, please follow the steps below to connect and control the heater with a mobile phone.

Query the Bluetooth name: After turning on the machine, press the power button and【M】for 3s simultaneously, the screen displays the Bluetooth name in 4-digit characters(0-F).

Connect to the mobile phone via Bluetooth: Click on the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner, find the corresponding local Bluetooth number: BYD+MACaddress of the Bluetooth device+4 digits from the controller (Refer to the picture above), then click on the Bluetooth number to connect.

Click the settings button to go to the settings screen. You can set the password and click “Confirm” to save the settings. If the password is modified, the switch needs to alter the password according to the above Bluetooth matching operation method.

Long-press the power button to turn on/off.

Click the “mode” button to switch the gear mode or temperature control mode, then click the “up +” /”down -” button to increase + or decrease- the level (level 1- 10)/temperature(8°C~36°C).

Fault display: when the heater fails, it will display the fault code E-xx; see the table mentioned earlier for the type of fault.
