VEVOR High-Pressure Compressor User Manual

Safety Cautions

Please read this operation manual carefully before installation and operation.

This series is a high-pressure air compressor. It compresses atmospheric air to a pressure20/30MPa, 3000/4500psi, after be purified and separated by the filter and separation. It discharges clean air according to the GB18435-2001 air quality standard.

It is widely used for breathing in diving, firefighting, paintball, PCP shooting, and other high-pressure industries due to its reliability, portability, and ease of use.

Make sure the voltage on the nameplate meets the local power supply.

Make sure the lubricant has been put in before running

Make sure the pressure setting is under 4500psi (310bar)

There is a potential danger of a pipe burst or a connecting fitting blowing off under high pressure. Please avoid the body being too near the compressor when running

For safety, don’t leave the compressor unattended and always keep an eye on it until it reaches the rated pressure, whether it is an automatic or a manual stop.

For safety, always keep an eye on it until it reaches the rated pressure and needs to stop. Double-check that the lubricating oil has been put in before running.

Working process

Atmospheric air is compressed through a two-stage cylinder to reach 20MPa/30MPa, 3000/4500 psi. And the air is filtered by an oil and moisture separator before filling the tanks.

The condensate and oil are separated from the air and drained from the separator.

Pump Block

The pump block unit comprises crankcase, crankshaft, cylinder, piston, intake and discharge valves, connecting rod, bearing, etc. It is a water-cooled type of splash lubrication, directly driven by the motor shaft.

Gauge & Safety Valve

The pressure gauge is installed in the final stage of the compressor to display discharge pressure.

The safety valve is installed at the place of the discharge hole. The safety valve will open and release pressure if the discharge pressure exceeds the preset value.

Note: The release valve will supply protection with more reliability and safety

Pressure switch (Auto stop version only)

The compressors are preset to the required working pressure as per the order requirements. The compressor will stop automatically when the pressure reaches the rated pressure.

Note: Don’t try to adjust it if you are not authorized

ON/OFF

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on and turn off the compressor.

Drain Valve

Open valve in separator and filter to drain moisture and oil from piping when finish tank filling every time.

Note: Ensure all drain valves are open when starting the compressor

Cooling System

It is cooled by water, and water container is not included in the compressor package.

Best temperature of cool water for working is between 50℃ to 70℃

Max working temperature is 75℃, when is reaches 75℃.

Necessary to replace water or stop running the compressor.

The water in container should be no less than 20L/5 gallons; it works better with more water when cooling down.

Installation and Operation

Installation

Must use the compressor on the surface, which is totally flat and dry. Put water in the container and place the water pump into the container with no less than 20L/5 gallons fresh water.

The water pump has to be totally immersed in water to ensure water flows smoothly.

Checking before the operation

Checking

Make sure the voltage in the nameplate meets local power supply. Fill with lubricating oil to around the middle of the oil glass.

Note: If the oil level is too high, the air valves will easy carbonize; if the oil is too low, it will result in insufficient lubrication and piston cylinder sticking

Install a breather at the oil filling port

Check the connection fitting, fasten firmly, and make sure no Leakage
Check the rotary direction of the motor
Note: correct direction is cooling wind blow to ■ Trial running

Open the condensate drain valve to make the compressor start in no-load.

Close the charging valve to begin a short test run.

Turn on the compressor, and after it runs for 3-5 minutes

Close the condensate drain valve, and the compressor begins to pressurize. Turn off the compressor when it reaches the rated pressure.

Caution: Long-term, continuous running is not suggested because it may result in rising temperature, parts being damaged, and the machine’s life being shortened.

Note: Open the drain valves to release high pressure and condensate after every refill operation

Tank filling

Connect the air tank to the compressor with a flex hose

Open the condensate drain valve for no loading start

Turn on the compressor.

Open the bleed valve to ensure the pump starts with no load. Turn on the compressor, turn the bleed valve off after running 30 seconds smoothly, then open the air-charging valve for filling.

When the pressure reaches the requirement, turn the compressor on, close the charging valve, and turn on the exhaust valve. The compressor will stop automatically if it is the pressure setting or the automatic stop version.

(Setting method: The red knob above the rotary pressure gauge can make the setting pointer stay above the required number.)

Please shut down the power supply and close the air-charging valve if there’s an emergency with the air filling.

Note: Advise the paintball tank no more than 3 liters, 4500psi 30MPa. Filling a big tank will cause the compressor to run continuously over time. Normal continue run no more than 1 hour.

Maintenance

General maintenance interval.

Lubricant oil

Oil level must be checked every time;

First time oil change : 50 hours, 0.5-0.6 liters

Regular oil change : 100 hours or annually

Lubricant oil features: ISO VG46, AW46

Warning: It is forbidden to mix different brands or ISO grade oil for lubrication, recommend MOBIL827/829 or equivalent.

Filtration for air

The better outlet air quality will be obtained if extra purification, filter elements must be highly efficient fibrous materials, and must be replaced periodically.

High-pressure air hose

The air hose must be replaced regularly, every 1000 hours or annually, and the bending radius does not exceed 250mm. With an 8mm quick connector, it connects directly to the tank valve fitting.

Air filter

Use compressed air to blow the air filter to clean dust. The air filter must be changed every 100 working hours or annually.

Note: We suggest changing the filter every 50 hours if the compressor is used in a dusty environment.

Condensate drain

Drain condensate after every refill. Open the drain screw to drain out.

Normal condensate is milk white or brown white with a bit of oil. If the condensate is in black or oil smell, check the lube oil quality or change oil.
