Precaution

Safety Warning

Non-compliance with safety warnings and precautions may cause severe personal injury and property loss; operators without a qualified certificate must be familiar with all the safety warnings and precautions in this manual. Correct transportation, fixing, and careful test runs guarantee safe operation and prevent faults.

The following warnings provide special tips for the relevant operation process. The warning describes the appropriate sign.

Use Condition

The maximum ambient temperature shall not exceed 45°C, and the relevant humidity shall not exceed 80%; the machine shall be used in a ventilated place, with an induction power supply at the bottom, and a heat dissipation hole on the side, and the sensor head shall be clean and not blocked. Over temperature or humidity may significantly influence the electronic component’s service life, which may even directly cause damage to the machine.

Maintenance

A nonprofessional cannot dismount the machine as there is high current inside; a qualified professional shall perform maintenance. Precautions must be strictly complied with during maintenance, or the machine won’t operate safely.

Operation Guide

Starting up

Plug the power plug in and push the “power” button to start the machine. The nixie tube will display the default setting time, which is “1.5S.” The LED is located in the middle, and the default power is 1000W.

Adjustment

Power Adjustment

Push the “Reduce Power” or “Increase Power” button to adjust the power, which is 800W, 900W, 1000W, 1100W, and 1200W from left to right (LED arrangement). If the sealing diameter is less than 40mm, the power can be set at “High” to improve sealing speed; while the sealing diameter is more than 60mm, the power can be set as “Low” to get better sealing quality.

Time Adjustment

Push the “Seal Time” at the left or right to adjust the sealing time at the unit’s and ten’s places. The unit’s place is adjusted circularly from 0 to 5, and the ten’s place is adjusted circularly from 0 to 9. That means the time adjustment range is 0.1–5.9(s).

Trial Sealing

Put the bottle with induction film (the face with foil shall be aligned to the bottle top) under the center of the sensor head, push the button on top of the sensor head, and the sealing time countdown begins. It sends a “beep” sound (sending once respectively at the beginning and end) until 0, and the sealing finishes when it displays the count again.

Qualified Seal

Open the bottle cap and check the seal situation. If the seal is smooth and tight, the gasket is fully separated, and the film is fully adhered to the bottle, the seal is qualified.

Insufficient Pressure

If the seal is partially adhered, the cap is not tight, and the film is not fully pressed on the top of the bottle. Place the film and try again.

Inadequate Time

If the film is separated when it’s pulled lightly by hand or the gasket is not separated from the film even though it seems very firm, maybe the sealing time is insufficient or the film is not matched with the bottle’s material. Just adjust the sealing time or change to an induction film of a different material.

Too Long Sealing Time

If the film crumples up and the bottle is obviously melted, the sealing time is too long and shall be appropriately reduced.

Start to Work

Until it entirely complies with the requirements, the sealing work can start. Sealing time shall be readjusted when using bottles and films of different lots. Push the “Show” button to check the time, and the counter will return to zero when pushing the “Show” button for 2 seconds. The machine will automatically shut down if idle (including the handle button) for 15 minutes.

If the power plug is not pulled out, the current operation data, including power, sealing time, and counting, is the default for the next start-up.

Operation Panel Schematic Diagram

Fault Code

  • E3: Sensor fault
  • E2: Overvoltage
  • E1: Undervoltage

Precaution

Operating Power Supply

The machine has automatic protection when the input voltage is too high (270V), it’s unavailable for sealing work, and it displays fault code E3. The machine also has automatic protection when the input voltage is too low (70V), it’s unavailable for sealing work, and it displays fault code E4.

System Temperature

The overheat protection will start automatically to stop the induction output when the system temperature is too high. The sealing work can continue until the temperature drops (don’t switch off the power supply).

Over Current Protection

When it displays “overcurrent” fault code, the output current exceeds the maximum allowable value, the overcurrent protection will start, and the present sealing is ineffective. The interval distance between the sensor head and object for sealing shall be appropriately increased to drop operating current ( the “over current” protection may not work usually for a large caliber, non-metallic insulation plate shall be adhered to the sensor head to resolve the problem, and the user shall provide the insulation plate).

Standby Switch

The standby switch is equivalent to the handle switch of the sensor head. Before using the standby switch, please check the sensor head position and don’t put the sensor head on a metal part to push it.

Alignment

During sealing work, the sealing object shall be aligned to the center of the sensor head to ensure sealing quality.

Sealing Material

Polymer on sealing film shall be adhered to the object for sealing tightly and firmly.

Ventilation

The machine shall be used in a ventilated place without a block at the air inlet.

Foreign Substance

No foreign substance can fall into the machine; otherwise, it may cause a fault.

Abnormity

If there’s an abnormality, such as the coil is burnt abnormally, happening

Press the ON-OFF button to stop the work during the operation; otherwise, it may easily cause personal injury.

Unpacking

After unpacking, check whether the case is obviously collisional. Check whether the attached accessory is well-equipped according to the packing list. If there is any problem, please contact the local agency within 7 days.

Container Material

The material of the packaging container may be PE, PP, PET, PS, or ABS. A plastic container with a plastic screw cap is easiest to seal. Sealing other situations may be more complex. Induction sealing can also be used for glass containers, which shall be processed first for easier sealing.

FAQ

There’s one unsealed bottle among ten or twenty bottles. What’s the matter with the sealing machine?

The consistency of the technological process determines the high-quality sealing effect. Indirect function may influence the sealing effect. To get proper sealing, the foil shall be fully touched with the container under torque. The sealing material shall be matched with the container material and shall be fully exposed in the magnetic field so that the foil can be sealed after heating up. An error in any link may cause poor quality or infirm sealing. The sensor head is prone to making mistakes.

Infirm sealing is mainly caused by insufficient pressure so that the foil can’t fully touch the bottle top, or it may be caused by insufficient exposure to the magnetic field. Unmatched material problems also happen often. They’re probably caused by caps or containers provided by different suppliers or lots of products provided by the same supplier.

Why is the bottle top sealed loosely?

The sealing gasket is composed of foil and polymer. Wax is usually used as an adhesive to fix the foil in the bottle cap. The foil heating up has a dual function. The melted polymer enables the foil to adhere to the packaging container, and the wax is melted to separate the foil from the cardboard.

The cardboard absorbs the melted wax, and the foil adheres to the bottle top. Although the wax is thin, there’s still space after it’s melted and absorbed by the cardboard, which makes the bottle top loose.
