The best smoker I have bought. You don't need to add wood for the meat to be flavorful. Just charcoal is all you need.

With the way the price of meat has skyrocketed, it's pretty much been taken off the menu. Until I got this smoker, that is. The first one I received didn't have any nuts or bolts so I had to get a second one and this one had everything as well as backups. Assembly was fairly straightforward except when it came to the part(s) that connected two of the barrel sections together. The drawing wasn't very clear and I put them in upside-down, twice. The first time I just switched them around but then I put the wrong screw in the wrong place and it got stripped somehow. I was eventually able to remove it by pulling hard and turning it after putting the part in a vise and when I went back, I put it on upside down. Again. BTW- before I got it out, I did contact the manufacturer on a Sunday night about replacing the part with the screw stuck in it; they had a 24-hour chatbot that opened a ticket and I got an email within 24 hours regarding the problem so thumbs-up for the quick response. I was able to get it out and got everything re-connected and in the right places and it was time to test it. I really didn't know anything about smoking meat so I got a couple of books and watched a few videos. I had some Hickory blocks and picked up some Cherry ones as well as hardwood briquettes and started learning. My first attempt was with a whole chicken. I won't go into detail as to what I did, I'll just say it was successful. Next was some St. Louis ribs, also a success. I have a pork shoulder and some pork belly curing to make bourbon-maple bacon and I'm really looking forward to more experimenting. One good thing about living in California is the ability to BBQ almost year 'round, especially with an insulating blanket. This smoker is working great even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. For example, the directions make it sound like the smoker has a door or vent on the bottom but it doesn't so temperature control and adding fuel can be...complicated. I've had to lift

Wow, when I bought it I didn't know its actual size, it's huge!! My husband loved it!! Very easy to install.

Well, I clearly have some work to do when it comes to smoking food. First attempt was a failure. So embarrassing, but it was completely my fault, and had nothing to do with this smoker grill. It is actually really nice. The build quality is really good. Every part of it feels like it’s good quality. Super easy to set up and use. I don’t know the going prices of smokers grills but these seems like a decent deal at the time. It should last me a very long time because of the quality. It’s a decent size, but that kind of should be expected. I’ve seen bigger than this and I’ve seen smaller. This would be a great gift value for someone that grills or has a little bit of an idea how to use it, unlike myself. It actually is probably good for someone just starting out at well, but if you have no grilling or smoking experience, maybe do some research before starting, also unlike myself. I’m excited to get better at using it. Sometimes failing at something helps you know what not to do next time. It functions perfectly if you know what you are doing. My friend ended up coming over to help me and raved about it, so it must be good.

This is our first smoker, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I am happy with the quality overall. I have been wanting a smoker for a while, and at under 3ft tall, I was compelled me to order it. Assembly is a bit tedious, but not terrible. It's just a lot of parts and steps, but when it's assembled it's very sturdy. It doesn't seal tight - I don't know why I assumed it would, but that doesn't seem to affect the way it works. I tried an herbed, smoked cream cheese in it for my first go, and I think it turned out really well! I'm going to try some local piñon wood and pecans next. This is a cool little unit and would make a great gift for anyone that is looking for a functional, compact, affordable smoker.

A smaller, simple, working smoker. No fancy electronics to break, just a door leading to a bowl for the charcoal/ smoke chips, some racks, a thermostat to give you some idea of what is going on in there and a vent at the top and bottom to help control said temperature. It is hardly airtight - see pictures and video - but we got it up to 300 in under 35 minutes in 72 degree weather with a gentle but constant breeze. It works well and is stable on its feet. Yes, it gets hot. The handles are heat proof, both top and o the side, but the rest isn't. Be careful. It stands about 30' high, and a little bit more when you include the handle. It wasn't the quickest thing to put together. It took my husband - no stranger to product assembly, and he is good at it - almost an hour to assemble. It isn't hard to do, just a lot of little steps and pieces. The video on the ad matches the assembly instructions, although my husband preferred the printed ones. But either way just follow the directions carefully and you'll be fine. It came with double the number of needed screws and fasteners, so high points there. The flip side is that while it came with the little screwdriver, per standard, it did not have corresponding wrenches. You'll have to pull out your own or hold the nuts in place manually, which is what my husband did. My personal favorite part is that it isn't complicated enough to have much to go wrong with it. And it works, is portable and wind proof, so I can take it to the beach. And it wasn't expensive. That's what I was looking for and that's what I got! Five stars.

I love grilling on the weekends with my family, and it’s always a great way to spend time together. I came across this smoker grill that not only grills meat perfectly but also lets you smoke it using different types of wood for added flavor. It comes with two grilling grates, one hanging rod, six hooks, and a built-in thermometer. It includes everything you need to get started. There are four models available, and I chose the 18.5-inch vertical smoker. There is some assembly required, but the instructions were easy to follow. The only challenge for me was experimenting with different woods and flavors to find the right taste. Overall, we’re having a lot of fun using it and enjoying the results, so I’m giving this one a thumbs up.

Vevor makes reasonably priced solid products. I own a few of their tools, they are not pro-grade, but they are very reliable and well suitable for DIY-ers. This grill/smoker is a well-made product with good aesthetics. I cannot, however, see its true purpose. The product is more of a grill than smoker. It is quite small for a backyard grill and it is too large for a portable \"take it to the woods\" grill. I think the perfect place for it is a small patio or a balcony. The grill is advertised to only work with charcoal. It definitely cannot be used with wood, but I think it can work with wood pellets. I have not yet fired it up, but I think it will not work well as a smoker because food will be too close to the source of heat, but it should work well as a compact grill or barbecue. The grates would barely fit a large pizza. They are made of chrome-coated steel, and they will eventually rust. I find the price to be a bit too high, but not excessively so. The product is definitely better than $50 portable grills found at home improvement stores.

After almost a year of use... This is hands down the best grill I've ever had. I's say it's the best purchase I've ever made period, but I'm sure I'd be leaving out something really important like a house or a vacation to Australia or an engagement ring or something. But when it comes to food and cooking... forget about it. This thing is awesome. Here's why... everything you cook on it comes out good. Literally it seems impossible to mess-up. Get the grill too hot, the food just gets done quicker, but it still rocks. Dont' add enough coals and it's not warm enough... just give it more time or add coals right mid-cook... no problem... it comes out right. It's also very spacious; room for tons of food when you're cooking a week's worth in advance or having a few people over. I just love it.
